2 Timóteo 4

 
1 ¶ Conjuro-te, pois, diante de Deus, e do Senhor Jesus Cristo, que há de julgar os vivos e os mortos, na sua vinda e no seu reino, I charge [thee] in the sight of God, and of Christ Jesus, who shall judge the living and the dead, and by his appearing and his kingdom:
2 Que pregues a palavra, instes a tempo e fora de tempo, redarguas, repreendas, exortes, com toda a longanimidade e doutrina. preach the word; be urgent in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort, with all longsuffering and teaching.
3 Porque virá tempo em que não suportarão a sã doutrina; mas, tendo comichão nos ouvidos, amontoarão para si doutores conforme as suas próprias concupiscências; For the time will come when they will not endure the sound doctrine; but, having itching ears, will heap to themselves teachers after their own lusts;
4 E desviarão os ouvidos da verdade, voltando às fábulas. and will turn away their ears from the truth, and turn aside unto fables.
5 Mas tu, sê sóbrio em tudo, sofre as aflições, faze a obra de um evangelista, cumpre o teu ministério. But be thou sober in all things, suffer hardship, do the work of an evangelist, fulfil thy ministry.
6 Porque eu já estou sendo oferecido por aspersão de sacrifício, e o tempo da minha partida está próximo. For I am already being offered, and the time of my departure is come.
7 Combati o bom combate, acabei a carreira, guardei a fé. I have fought the good fight, I have finished the course, I have kept the faith:
8 Desde agora, a coroa da justiça me está guardada, a qual o Senhor, justo juiz, me dará naquele dia; e não somente a mim, mas também a todos os que amarem a sua vinda. henceforth there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give to me at that day; and not to me only, but also to all them that have loved his appearing.
9 ¶ Procura vir ter comigo depressa, Give diligence to come shortly unto me:
10 ver mapa Porque Demas me desamparou, amando o presente século, e foi para tessalônica, Crescente para Galácia, Tito para Dalmácia. for Demas forsook me, having loved this present world, and went to Thessalonica; Crescens to Galatia, Titus to Dalmatia.
11 Só Lucas está comigo. Toma Marcos, e traze-o contigo, porque me é muito útil para o ministério. Only Luke is with me. Take Mark, and bring him with thee; for he is useful to me for ministering.

13 ver mapa Quando vieres, traze a capa que deixei em trôade, em casa de Carpo, e os livros, principalmente os pergaminhos. The cloak that I left at Troas with Carpus, bring when thou comest, and the books, especially the parchments.
14 Alexandre, o latoeiro, causou-me muitos males; o Senhor lhe pague segundo as suas obras. Alexander the coppersmith did me much evil: the Lord will render to him according to his works:
15 Tu, guarda-te também dele, porque resistiu muito às nossas palavras. of whom do thou also beware; for he greatly withstood our words.
16 ¶ Ninguém me assistiu na minha primeira defesa, antes todos me desampararam. Que isto lhes não seja imputado. At my first defence no one took my part, but all forsook me: may it not be laid to their account.
17 Mas o Senhor assistiu-me e fortaleceu-me, para que por mim fosse cumprida a pregação, e todos os gentios a ouvissem; e fiquei livre da boca do leão. But the Lord stood by me, and strengthened me; that through me the message might me fully proclaimed, and that all the Gentiles might hear: and I was delivered out of the mouth of the lion.
18 E o Senhor me livrará de toda a má obra, e guardar-me-á para o seu reino celestial; a quem seja glória para todo o sempre. Amém. The Lord will deliver me from every evil work, and will save me unto his heavenly kingdom: to whom [be] the glory forever and ever. Amen.
19 Saúda a Prisca e a Áqüila, e à casa de Onesíforo. Salute Prisca and Aquila, and the house of Onesiphorus.

21 Procura vir antes do inverno. Éubulo, e Prudente, e Lino, e Cláudia, e todos os irmãos te saúdam. Give diligence to come before winter. Eubulus saluteth thee, and Pudens, and Linus, and Claudia, and all the brethren.
22 O Senhor Jesus Cristo seja com o teu espírito. A graça seja convosco. Amém. The Lord be with thy spirit. Grace be with you.
