| 1 | ¶ A palavra que veio a Jeremias da parte do SENHOR, no ano décimo de Zedequias, rei de Judá, o qual foi o décimo oitavo de Nabucodonosor. | The word that came to Jeremiah from Jehovah in the tenth year of Zedekiah king of Judah, which was the eighteenth year of Nebuchadrezzar. |
| 2 mapa | Ora, nesse tempo o exército do rei de babilônia cercava Jerusalém; e Jeremias, o profeta, estava encerrado no pátio da guarda que estava na casa do rei de Judá; | Now at that time the king of Babylon's army was besieging Jerusalem; and Jeremiah the prophet was shut up in the court of the guard, which was in the king of Judah's house. |
| 3 mapa | Porque Zedequias, rei de Judá, o tinha encerrado, dizendo: Por que profetizas tu, dizendo: Assim diz o SENHOR: Eis que entrego esta cidade na mão do rei de babilônia, e ele a tomará; | For Zedekiah king of Judah had shut him up, saying, Wherefore dost thou prophesy, and say, Thus saith Jehovah, Behold, I will give this city into the hand of the king of Babylon, and he shall take it; |
| 4 mapa | E Zedequias, rei de Judá, não escapará das mãos dos caldeus; mas certamente será entregue na mão do rei de babilônia, e com ele falará boca a boca, e os seus olhos verão os dele; | and Zedekiah king of Judah shall not escape out of the hand of the Chaldeans, but shall surely be delivered into the hand of the king of Babylon, and shall speak with him mouth to mouth, and his eyes shall behold his eyes; |
| 5 mapa | E ele levará Zedequias para babilônia, e ali estará, até que eu o visite, diz o SENHOR e, ainda que pelejeis contra os caldeus, não ganhareis? | and he shall bring Zedekiah to Babylon, and there shall he be until I visit him, saith Jehovah: though ye fight with the Chaldeans, ye shall not prosper? |
| 6 | Disse, pois, Jeremias: Veio a mim a palavra do SENHOR, dizendo: | And Jeremiah said, The word of Jehovah came unto me, saying, |
| 7 mapa | Eis que Hanameel, filho de Salum, teu tio, virá a ti dizendo: Compra para ti a minha herdade que está em Anatote, pois tens o direito de resgate para comprá-la. | Behold, Hanamel the son of Shallum thine uncle shall come unto thee, saying, Buy thee my field that is in Anathoth; for the right of redemption is thine to buy it. |
| 8 mapa | Veio, pois, a mim Hanameel, filho de meu tio, segundo a palavra do SENHOR, ao pátio da guarda, e me disse: Compra agora a minha herdade que está em Anatote, na terra de Benjamim; porque teu é o direito de herança, e tens o resgate; compra-a para ti. Então entendi que isto era a palavra do SENHOR. | So Hanamel mine uncle's son came to me in the court of the guard according to the word of Jehovah, and said unto me, Buy my field, I pray thee, that is in Anathoth, which is in the land of Benjamin; for the right of inheritance is thine, and the redemption is thine; buy it for thyself. Then I knew that this was the word of Jehovah. |
| 9 mapa | Comprei, pois, a herdade de Hanameel, filho de meu tio, a qual está em Anatote; e pesei-lhe o dinheiro, dezessete siclos de prata. | And I bought the field that was in Anathoth of Hanamel mine uncle's son, and weighed him the money, even seventeen shekels of silver. |
| 10 | E assinei a escritura, e selei-a, e fiz confirmar por testemunhas; e pesei-lhe o dinheiro numa balança. | And I subscribed the deed, and sealed it, and called witnesses, and weighed him the money in the balances. |
| 11 | E tomei a escritura da compra, selada segundo a lei e os estatutos, e a cópia aberta. | So I took the deed of the purchase, both that which was sealed, [according to] the law and custom, and that which was open: |
| 12 | E dei a escritura da compra a Baruque, filho de Nerias, filho de Maaséias, na presença de Hanameel, filho de meu tio e na presença das testemunhas, que subscreveram a escritura da compra, e na presença de todos os judeus que se assentavam no pátio da guarda. | and I delivered the deed of the purchase unto Baruch the son of Neriah, the son of Mahseiah, in the presence of Hanamel mine uncle's [son], and in the presence of the witnesses that subscribed the deed of the purchase, before all the Jews that sat in the court of the guard. |
| 13 | E dei ordem a Baruque, na presença deles, dizendo: | And I charged Baruch before them, saying, |
| 14 | Assim diz o SENHOR dos Exércitos, o Deus de Israel: Toma estas escrituras, este auto de compra, tanto a selada, como a aberta, e coloca-as num vaso de barro, para que se possam conservar muitos dias. | Thus saith Jehovah of hosts, the God of Israel: Take these deeds, this deed of the purchase which is sealed, and this deed which is open, and put them in an earthen vessel; that they may continue many days. |
| 15 | Porque assim diz o SENHOR dos Exércitos, o Deus de Israel: Ainda se comprarão casas, e campos, e vinhas nesta terra. | For thus saith Jehovah of hosts, the God of Israel: Houses and fields and vineyards shall yet again be bought in this land. |
| 16 | ¶ E depois que dei a escritura da compra a Baruque, filho de Nerias, orei ao SENHOR, dizendo: | Now after I had delivered the deed of the purchase unto Baruch the son of Neriah, I prayed unto Jehovah, saying, |
| 17 | Ah Senhor DEUS! Eis que tu fizeste os céus e a terra com o teu grande poder, e com o teu braço estendido; nada há que te seja demasiado difícil; | Ah Lord Jehovah! behold, thou hast made the heavens and the earth by thy great power and by thine outstretched arm; there is nothing too hard for thee, |
| 18 | Tu que usas de benignidade com milhares, e retribuis a maldade dos pais ao seio dos filhos depois deles; o grande, o poderoso Deus cujo nome é o SENHOR dos Exércitos; | who showest lovingkindness unto thousands, and recompensest the iniquity of the fathers into the bosom of their children after them; the great, the mighty God, Jehovah of hosts is his name; |
| 19 | Grande em conselho, e magnífico em obras; porque os teus olhos estão abertos sobre todos os caminhos dos filhos dos homens, para dar a cada um segundo os seus caminhos e segundo o fruto das suas obras; | great in counsel, and mighty in work; whose eyes are open upon all the ways of the sons of men, to give every one according to his ways, and according to the fruit of his doings: |
| 20 mapa | Tu puseste sinais e maravilhas na terra do Egito até ao dia de hoje, tanto em Israel, como entre os outros homens, e te fizeste um nome, o qual tu tens neste dia. | who didst set signs and wonders in the land of Egypt, even unto this day, both in Israel and among [other] men; and madest thee a name, as at this day; |
| 21 mapa | E tiraste o teu povo Israel da terra do Egito, com sinais e com maravilhas, e com mão forte, e com braço estendido, e com grande espanto, | and didst bring forth thy people Israel out of the land of Egypt with signs, and with wonders, and with a strong hand, and with an outstretched arm, and with great terror; |
| 22 | E lhes deste esta terra, que juraste a seus pais que lhes havias de dar, terra que mana leite e mel. | and gavest them this land, which thou didst swear to their fathers to give them, a land flowing with milk and honey; |
| 23 | E entraram nela, e a possuíram, mas não obedeceram à tua voz, nem andaram na tua lei; tudo o que lhes mandaste que fizessem, eles não o fizeram; por isso ordenaste lhes sucedesse todo este mal. | and they came in, and possessed it, but they obeyed not thy voice, neither walked in thy law; they have done nothing of all that thou commandedst them to do: therefore thou hast caused all this evil to come upon them. |
| 24 | Eis aqui os valados; já vieram contra a cidade para tomá-la, e a cidade está entregue na mão dos caldeus, que pelejam contra ela, pela espada, pela fome e pela pestilência; e o que disseste se cumpriu, e eis aqui o estás presenciando. | Behold, the mounds, they are come unto the city to take it; and the city is given into the hand of the Chaldeans that fight against it, because of the sword, and of the famine, and of the pestilence; and what thou hast spoken is come to pass; and, behold, thou seest it. |
| 25 | Contudo tu me disseste, ó Senhor DEUS: Compra para ti o campo por dinheiro, e faze que o confirmem testemunhas, embora a cidade já esteja entregue na mão dos caldeus. | And thou hast said unto me, O Lord Jehovah, Buy thee the field for money, and call witnesses; whereas the city is given into the hand of the Chaldeans. |
| 26 | ¶ Então veio a palavra do SENHOR a Jeremias, dizendo: | Then came the word of Jehovah unto Jeremiah, saying, |
| 27 | Eis que eu sou o SENHOR, o Deus de toda a carne; acaso haveria alguma coisa demasiado difícil para mim? | Behold, I am Jehovah, the God of all flesh: is there anything too hard for me? |
| 28 mapa | Portanto assim diz o SENHOR: Eis que eu entrego esta cidade na mão dos caldeus, e na mão de Nabucodonosor, rei de babilônia, e ele a tomará. | Therefore thus saith Jehovah: Behold, I will give this city into the hand of the Chaldeans, and into the hand of Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon, and he shall take it: |
| 29 | E os caldeus, que pelejam contra esta cidade, entrarão nela, e por-lhe-ão fogo, e queimarão, as casas sobre cujos terraços queimaram incenso a Baal e ofereceram libações a outros deuses, para me provocarem à ira. | and the Chaldeans, that fight against this city, shall come and set this city on fire, and burn it, with the houses, upon whose roofs they have offered incense unto Baal, and poured out drink-offerings unto other gods, to provoke me to anger. |
| 30 | Porque os filhos de Israel e os filhos de Judá não fizeram senão mal aos meus olhos, desde a sua mocidade; porque os filhos de Israel nada fizeram senão provocar-me à ira com as obras das suas mãos, diz o SENHOR. | For the children of Israel and the children of Judah have done only that which was evil in my sight from their youth; for the children of Israel have only provoked me to anger with the work of their hands, saith Jehovah. |
| 31 | Porque para a minha ira e para o meu furor me tem sido esta cidade, desde o dia em que a edificaram, e até ao dia de hoje, para que a tirasse da minha presença; | For this city hath been to me a provocation of mine anger and of my wrath from the day that they built it even unto this day; that I should remove it from before my face, |
| 32 mapa | Por causa de toda a maldade dos filhos de Israel, e dos filhos de Judá, que fizeram, para me provocarem à ira, eles e os seus reis, os seus príncipes, os seus sacerdotes, e os seus profetas, como também os homens de Judá e os moradores de Jerusalém. | because of all the evil of the children of Israel and of the children of Judah, which they have done to provoke me to anger, they, their kings, their princes, their priests, and their prophets, and the men of Judah, and the inhabitants of Jerusalem. |
| 33 | E viraram-me as costas, e não o rosto; ainda que eu os ensinava, madrugando e ensinando-os, contudo eles não deram ouvidos, para receberem o ensino. | And they have turned unto me the back, and not the face: and though I taught them, rising up early and teaching them, yet they have not hearkened to receive instruction. |
| 34 | Antes puseram as suas abominações na casa que se chama pelo meu nome, para a profanarem. | But they set their abominations in the house which is called by my name, to defile it. |
| 35 mapa | E edificaram os altos de Baal, que estão no Vale do Filho de Hinom, para fazerem passar seus filhos e suas filhas pelo fogo a Moloque; o que nunca lhes ordenei, nem veio ao meu coração, que fizessem tal abominação, para fazerem pecar a Judá. | And they built the high places of Baal, which are in the valley of the son of Hinnom, to cause their sons and their daughters to pass through [the fire] unto Molech; which I commanded them not, neither came it into my mind, that they should do this abomination, to cause Judah to sin. |
| 36 mapa | E por isso agora assim diz o SENHOR, o Deus de Israel, acerca desta cidade, da qual vós dizeis: Já está dada na mão do rei de babilônia, pela espada, pela fome, e pela pestilência: | And now therefore thus saith Jehovah, the God of Israel, concerning this city, whereof ye say, It is given into the hand of the king of Babylon by the sword, and by the famine, and by the pestilence: |
| 37 | Eis que eu os congregarei de todas as terras, para onde os tenho lançado na minha ira, e no meu furor, e na minha grande indignação; e os tornarei a trazer a este lugar, e farei que habitem nele seguramente. | Behold, I will gather them out of all the countries, whither I have driven them in mine anger, and in my wrath, and in great indignation; and I will bring them again unto this place, and I will cause them to dwell safely: |
| 38 | E eles serão o meu povo, e eu lhes serei o seu Deus; | and they shall be my people, and I will be their God: |
| 39 | E lhes darei um mesmo coração, e um só caminho, para que me temam todos os dias, para seu bem, e o bem de seus filhos, depois deles. | and I will give them one heart and one way, that they may fear me for ever, for the good of them, and of their children after them: |
| 40 | E farei com eles uma aliança eterna de não me desviar de fazer-lhes o bem; e porei o meu temor nos seus corações, para que nunca se apartem de mim. | and I will make an everlasting covenant with them, that I will not turn away from following them, to do them good; and I will put my fear in their hearts, that they may not depart from me. |
| 41 | E alegrar-me-ei deles, fazendo-lhes bem; e plantá-los-ei nesta terra firmemente, com todo o meu coração e com toda a minha alma. | Yea, I will rejoice over them to do them good, and I will plant them in this land assuredly with my whole heart and with my whole soul. |
| 42 | Porque assim diz o SENHOR: Como eu trouxe sobre este povo todo este grande mal, assim eu trarei sobre ele todo o bem que lhes tenho declarado. | For thus saith Jehovah: Like as I have brought all this great evil upon this people, so will I bring upon them all the good that I have promised them. |
| 43 | E comprar-se-ão campos nesta terra, da qual vós dizeis: Está desolada, sem homens, sem animais; está entregue na mão dos caldeus. | And fields shall be bought in this land, whereof ye say, It is desolate, without man or beast; it is given into the hand of the Chaldeans. |
| 44 mapa | Comprarão campos por dinheiro, e assinarão as escrituras, e as selarão, e farão que confirmem testemunhas, na terra de Benjamim, e nos contornos de Jerusalém, e nas cidades de Judá, e nas cidades das montanhas, e nas cidades das planícies, e nas cidades do sul; porque os farei voltar do seu cativeiro, diz o SENHOR. | Men shall buy fields for money, and subscribe the deeds, and seal them, and call witnesses, in the land of Benjamin, and in the places about Jerusalem, and in the cities of Judah, and in the cities of the hill-country, and in the cities of the lowland, and in the cities of the South: for I will cause their captivity to return, saith Jehovah. |
