| 1 | ¶ E, quando Jesus ia saindo do templo, aproximaram-se dele os seus discípulos para lhe mostrarem a estrutura do templo. | And Jesus went out from the temple, and was going on his way; and his disciples came to him to show him the buildings of the temple. |
| 2 | Jesus, porém, lhes disse: Não vedes tudo isto? Em verdade vos digo que não ficará aqui pedra sobre pedra que não seja derrubada. | But he answered and said unto them, See ye not all these things? verily I say unto you, There shall not be left here one stone upon another, that shall not be thrown down. |
| 3 mapa | E, estando assentado no Monte das Oliveiras, chegaram-se a ele os seus discípulos em particular, dizendo: Dize-nos, quando serão essas coisas, e que sinal haverá da tua vinda e do fim do mundo? | And as he sat on the mount of Olives, the disciples came unto him privately, saying, Tell us, when shall these things be? and what [shall be] the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world? |
| 4 | ¶ E Jesus, respondendo, disse-lhes: Acautelai-vos, que ninguém vos engane; | And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man lead you astray. |
| 5 | Porque muitos virão em meu nome, dizendo: Eu sou o Cristo; e enganarão a muitos. | For many shall come in my name, saying, I am the Christ; and shall lead many astray. |
| 6 | E ouvireis de guerras e de rumores de guerras; olhai, não vos assusteis, porque é mister que isso tudo aconteça, mas ainda não é o fim. | And ye shall hear of wars and rumors of wars; see that ye be not troubled: for [these things] must needs come to pass; but the end is not yet. |
| 7 | Porquanto se levantará nação contra nação, e reino contra reino, e haverá fomes, e pestes, e terremotos, em vários lugares. | For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom; and there shall be famines and earthquakes in divers places. |
| 8 | Mas todas estas coisas são o princípio de dores. | But all these things are the beginning of travail. |
| 9 | Então vos hão de entregar para serdes atormentados, e matar-vos-ão; e sereis odiados de todas as nações por causa do meu nome. | Then shall they deliver you up unto tribulation, and shall kill you: and ye shall be hated of all the nations for my name's sake. |
| 10 | Nesse tempo muitos serão escandalizados, e trair-se-ão uns aos outros, e uns aos outros se odiarão. | And then shall many stumble, and shall deliver up one another, and shall hate one another. |
| 11 | E surgirão muitos falsos profetas, e enganarão a muitos. | And many false prophets shall arise, and shall lead many astray. |
| 12 | E, por se multiplicar a iniqüidade, o amor de muitos esfriará. | And because iniquity shall be multiplied, the love of the many shall wax cold. |
| 13 | Mas aquele que perseverar até ao fim será salvo. | But he that endureth to the end, the same shall be saved. |
| 14 | E este evangelho do reino será pregado em todo o mundo, em testemunho a todas as nações, e então virá o fim. | And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in the whole world for a testimony unto all the nations; and then shall the end come. |
| 15 | Quando, pois, virdes que a abominação da desolação, de que falou o profeta Daniel, está no lugar santo; quem lê, atenda; | When therefore ye see the abomination of desolation, which was spoken of through Daniel the prophet, standing in the holy place (let him that readeth understand), |
| 16 mapa | Então, os que estiverem na Judéia, fujam para os montes; | then let them that are in Judaea flee unto the mountains: |
| 17 | E quem estiver sobre o telhado não desça a tirar alguma coisa de sua casa; | let him that is on the housetop not go down to take out things that are in his house: |
| 18 | E quem estiver no campo não volte atrás a buscar as suas vestes. | and let him that is in the field not return back to take his cloak. |
| 19 | Mas ai das grávidas e das que amamentarem naqueles dias! | But woe unto them that are with child and to them that give suck in those days! |
| 20 | E orai para que a vossa fuga não aconteça no inverno nem no sábado; | And pray ye that your flight be not in the winter, neither on a sabbath: |
| 21 | Porque haverá então grande aflição, como nunca houve desde o princípio do mundo até agora, nem tampouco há de haver. | for then shall be great tribulation, such as hath not been from the beginning of the world until now, no, nor ever shall be. |
| 22 | E, se aqueles dias não fossem abreviados, nenhuma carne se salvaria; mas por causa dos escolhidos serão abreviados aqueles dias. | And except those days had been shortened, no flesh would have been saved: but for the elect's sake those days shall be shortened. |
| 23 | Então, se alguém vos disser: Eis que o Cristo está aqui, ou ali, não lhe deis crédito; | Then if any man shall say unto you, Lo, here is the Christ, or, Here; believe [it] not. |
| 24 | Porque surgirão falsos cristos e falsos profetas, e farão tão grandes sinais e prodígios que, se possível fora, enganariam até os escolhidos. | For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall show great signs and wonders; so as to lead astray, if possible, even the elect. |
| 25 | Eis que eu vo-lo tenho predito. | Behold, I have told you beforehand. |
| 26 | Portanto, se vos disserem: Eis que ele está no deserto, não saiais. Eis que ele está no interior da casa; não acrediteis. | If therefore they shall say unto you, Behold, he is in the wilderness; go not forth: Behold, he is in the inner chambers; believe [it] not. |
| 27 | Porque, assim como o relâmpago sai do oriente e se mostra até ao ocidente, assim será também a vinda do Filho do homem. | For as the lightning cometh forth from the east, and is seen even unto the west; so shall be the coming of the Son of man. |
| 28 | Pois onde estiver o cadáver, aí se ajuntarão as águias. | Wheresoever the carcase is, there will the eagles be gathered together. |
| 29 | E, logo depois da aflição daqueles dias, o sol escurecerá, e a lua não dará a sua luz, e as estrelas cairão do céu, e as potências dos céus serão abaladas. | But immediately after the tribulation of those days the sun shall be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken: |
| 30 | Então aparecerá no céu o sinal do Filho do homem; e todas as tribos da terra se lamentarão, e verão o Filho do homem, vindo sobre as nuvens do céu, com poder e grande glória. | and then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. |
| 31 | E ele enviará os seus anjos com rijo clamor de trombeta, os quais ajuntarão os seus escolhidos desde os quatro ventos, de uma à outra extremidade dos céus. | And he shall send forth his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other. |
| 32 | ¶ Aprendei, pois, esta parábola da figueira: Quando já os seus ramos se tornam tenros e brotam folhas, sabeis que está próximo o verão. | Now from the fig tree learn her parable: when her branch is now become tender, and putteth forth its leaves, ye know that the summer is nigh; |
| 33 | Igualmente, quando virdes todas estas coisas, sabei que ele está próximo, às portas. | even so ye also, when ye see all these things, know ye that he is nigh, [even] at the doors. |
| 34 | Em verdade vos digo que não passará esta geração sem que todas estas coisas aconteçam. | Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass away, till all these things be accomplished. |
| 35 | O céu e a terra passarão, mas as minhas palavras não hão de passar. | Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away. |
| 36 | Mas daquele dia e hora ninguém sabe, nem os anjos do céu, mas unicamente meu Pai. | But of that day and hour knoweth no one, not even the angels of heaven, neither the Son, but the Father only. |
| 37 | E, como foi nos dias de Noé, assim será também a vinda do Filho do homem. | And as [were] the days of Noah, so shall be the coming of the Son of man. |
| 38 | Porquanto, assim como, nos dias anteriores ao dilúvio, comiam, bebiam, casavam e davam-se em casamento, até ao dia em que Noé entrou na arca, | For as in those days which were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noah entered into the ark, |
| 39 | E não o perceberam, até que veio o dilúvio, e os levou a todos, assim será também a vinda do Filho do homem. | and they knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall be the coming of the Son of man. |
| 40 | Então, estando dois no campo, será levado um, e deixado o outro; | Then shall two man be in the field; one is taken, and one is left: |
| 41 | Estando duas moendo no moinho, será levada uma, e deixada outra. | two women [shall be] grinding at the mill; one is taken, and one is left. |
| 42 | Vigiai, pois, porque não sabeis a que hora há de vir o vosso Senhor. | Watch therefore: for ye know not on what day your Lord cometh. |
| 43 | Mas considerai isto: se o pai de família soubesse a que vigília da noite havia de vir o ladrão, vigiaria e não deixaria minar a sua casa. | But know this, that if the master of the house had known in what watch the thief was coming, he would have watched, and would not have suffered his house to be broken through. |
| 44 | Por isso, estai vós apercebidos também; porque o Filho do homem há de vir à hora em que não penseis. | Therefore be ye also ready; for in an hour that ye think not the Son of man cometh. |
| 45 | Quem é, pois, o servo fiel e prudente, que o seu senhor constituiu sobre a sua casa, para dar o sustento a seu tempo? | Who then is the faithful and wise servant, whom his lord hath set over his household, to give them their food in due season? |
| 46 | Bem-aventurado aquele servo que o seu senhor, quando vier, achar servindo assim. | Blessed is that servant, whom his lord when he cometh shall find so doing. |
| 47 | Em verdade vos digo que o porá sobre todos os seus bens. | Verily I say unto you, that he will set him over all that he hath. |
| 48 | Mas se aquele mau servo disser no seu coração: O meu senhor tarde virá; | But if that evil servant shall say in his heart, My lord tarrieth; |
| 49 | E começar a espancar os seus conservos, e a comer e a beber com os ébrios, | and shall begin to beat his fellow-servants, and shall eat and drink with the drunken; |
| 50 | Virá o senhor daquele servo num dia em que o não espera, e à hora em que ele não sabe, | the lord of that servant shall come in a day when he expecteth not, and in an hour when he knoweth not, |
| 51 | E separá-lo-á, e destinará a sua parte com os hipócritas; ali haverá pranto e ranger de dentes. | and shall cut him asunder, and appoint his portion with the hypocrites: there shall be the weeping and the gnashing of teeth. |
