Oséias 7

1 mapa ¶ Sarando eu a Israel, se descobriu a iniqüidade de Efraim, como também as maldades de Samaria, porque praticaram a falsidade; e o ladrão entra, e a horda dos salteadores despoja por fora. When I would heal Israel, then is the iniquity of Ephraim uncovered, and the wickedness of Samaria; for they commit falsehood, and the thief entereth in, and the troop of robbers ravageth without.
2 E não dizem no seu coração que eu me lembro de toda a sua maldade; agora, pois, os cercam as suas obras; diante da minha face estão. And they consider not in their hearts that I remember all their wickedness: now have their own doings beset them about; they are before my face.
3 Com a sua malícia alegram ao rei, e com as suas mentiras aos príncipes. They make the king glad with their wickedness, and the princes with their lies.
4 Todos eles são adúlteros; são semelhantes ao forno aceso pelo padeiro, que cessa de mexer nas brasas, depois que amassou a massa, até que seja levedada. They are all adulterers; they are as an oven heated by the baker; he ceaseth to stir [the fire], from the kneading of the dough, until it be leavened.
5 E no dia do nosso rei os príncipes se tornaram doentes com frascos de vinho; ele estendeu a sua mão com os escarnecedores. On the day of our king the princes made themselves sick with the heat of wine; he stretched out his hand with scoffers.
6 Porque, prepararam o coração como um forno, na sua emboscada; toda a noite dorme o seu padeiro, pela manhã arde como fogo de chama. For they have made ready their heart like an oven, while they lie in wait: their baker sleepeth all the night; in the morning it burneth as a flaming fire.
7 Todos eles estão quentes como um forno, e consomem os seus juízes; todos os seus reis caem, ninguém entre eles há que me invoque. They are all hot as an oven, and devour their judges; all their kings are fallen: there is none among them that calleth unto me.
8 ¶ Efraim se mistura com os povos; Efraim é um bolo que não foi virado. Ephraim, he mixeth himself among the peoples; Ephraim is a cake not turned.
9 Estrangeiros lhe comeram a força, e ele não o sabe; também as cãs se espalharam sobre ele, e não o sabe. Strangers have devoured his strength, and he knoweth [it] not: yea, gray hairs are here and there upon him, and he knoweth [it] not.
10 E a soberba de Israel testificará diante dele; todavia não voltarão para o SENHOR seu Deus, nem o buscarão em tudo isto. And the pride of Israel doth testify to his face: yet they have not returned unto Jehovah their God, nor sought him, for all this.
11 mapa Porque Efraim é como uma pomba ingênua, sem entendimento; invocam o Egito, vão para a Assíria. And Ephraim is like a silly dove, without understanding: they call unto Egypt, they go to Assyria.
12 Quando forem, sobre eles estenderei a minha rede, e como aves do céu os farei descer; castigá-los-ei, conforme o que eles têm ouvido na sua congregação. When they shall go, I will spread my net upon them; I will bring them down as the birds of the heavens; I will chastise them, as their congregation hath heard.
13 Ai deles, porque fugiram de mim; destruição sobre eles, porque se rebelaram contra mim; eu os remi, mas disseram mentiras contra mim. Woe unto them! for they have wandered from me; destruction unto them! for they have trespassed against me: though I would redeem them, yet they have spoken lies against me.
14 E não clamaram a mim com seu coração, mas davam uivos nas suas camas; para o trigo e para o vinho se ajuntam, mas contra mim se rebelam. And they have not cried unto me with their heart, but they howl upon their beds: they assemble themselves for grain and new wine; they rebel against me.
15 Eu os corrigi, e lhes esforcei os braços, mas pensam mal contra mim. Though I have taught and strengthened their arms, yet do they devise mischief against me.
16 mapa Eles voltaram, mas não para o Altíssimo. Fizeram-se como um arco enganador; caem à espada os seus príncipes, por causa do furor da sua língua; este será o seu escárnio na terra do Egito. They return, but not to [him that is] on high; they are like a deceitful bow; their princes shall fall by the sword for the rage of their tongue: this shall be their derision in the land of Egypt.
