Salmos 13

[Salmo de Davi para o músico-mor] Até quando te esquecerás de mim, SENHOR? Para sempre? Até quando esconderás de mim o teu rosto?

Até quando consultarei com a minha alma, tendo tristeza no meu coração cada dia? Até quando se exaltará sobre mim o meu inimigo?

Atende-me, ouve-me, ó SENHOR meu Deus; ilumina os meus olhos para que eu não adormeça na morte;

Para que o meu inimigo não diga: Prevaleci contra ele; e os meus adversários não se alegrem, vindo eu a vacilar.

Mas eu confio na tua benignidade; na tua salvação se alegrará o meu coração.

Cantarei ao SENHOR, porquanto me tem feito muito bem.

For the Chief Musician. A Psalm of David. How long, O Jehovah? wilt thou forget me for ever? How long wilt thou hide thy face from me?

How long shall I take counsel in my soul, Having sorrow in my heart all the day? How long shall mine enemy be exalted over me?

Consider [and] answer me, O Jehovah my God: Lighten mine eyes, lest I sleep the [sleep of] death;

Lest mine enemy say, I have prevailed against him; [Lest] mine adversaries rejoice when I am moved.

But I have trusted in thy lovingkindness; My heart shall rejoice in thy salvation.

I will sing unto Jehovah, Because he hath dealt bountifully with me.
