| 3 | Sabei, pois, que o SENHOR separou para si aquele que é piedoso; o SENHOR ouvirá quando eu clamar a ele. | But know that Jehovah hath set apart for himself him that is godly: Jehovah will hear when I call unto him. |
| 4 | Perturbai-vos e não pequeis; falai com o vosso coração sobre a vossa cama, e calai-vos. (Selá.) | Stand in awe, and sin not: Commune with your own heart upon your bed, and be still. Selah |
| 5 | Oferecei sacrifícios de justiça, e confiai no SENHOR. | Offer the sacrifices of righteousness, And put your trust in Jehovah. |
| 6 | ¶ Muitos dizem: Quem nos mostrará o bem? SENHOR, exalta sobre nós a luz do teu rosto. | Many there are that say, Who will show us [any] good? Jehovah, lift thou up the light of thy countenance upon us. |
| 7 | Puseste alegria no meu coração, mais do que no tempo em que se lhes multiplicaram o trigo e o vinho. | Thou hast put gladness in my heart, More than [they have] when their grain and their new wine are increased. |
| 8 | Em paz também me deitarei e dormirei, porque só tu, SENHOR, me fazes habitar em segurança. | In peace will I both lay me down and sleep; For thou, Jehovah, alone makest me dwell in safety. |
