Salmos 50

 
1 ¶ [Salmo de Asafe] O Deus poderoso, o SENHOR, falou e chamou a terra desde o nascimento do sol até ao seu ocaso. A Psalm of Asaph. The Mighty One, God, Jehovah, hath spoken, And called the earth from the rising of the sun unto the going down thereof.
2 ver mapa Desde Sião, a perfeição da formosura, resplandeceu Deus. Out of Zion, the perfection of beauty, God hath shined forth.
3 Virá o nosso Deus, e não se calará; um fogo se irá consumindo diante dele, e haverá grande tormenta ao redor dele. Our God cometh, and doth not keep silence: A fire devoureth before him, And it is very tempestuous round about him.
4 Chamará os céus lá do alto, e a terra, para julgar o seu povo. He calleth to the heavens above, And to the earth, that he may judge his people:
5 Ajuntai-me os meus santos, aqueles que fizeram comigo uma aliança com sacrifícios. Gather my saints together unto me, Those that have made a covenant with me by sacrifice.
6 E os céus anunciarão a sua justiça; pois Deus mesmo é o Juiz. (Selá.) And the heavens shall declare his righteousness; For God is judge himself. Selah
7 ¶ Ouve, povo meu, e eu falarei; ó Israel, e eu protestarei contra ti: Sou Deus, sou o teu Deus. Hear, O my people, and I will speak; O Israel, and I will testify unto thee: I am God, [even] thy God.
8 Não te repreenderei pelos teus sacrifícios, ou holocaustos, que estão continuamente perante mim. I will not reprove thee for thy sacrifices; And thy burnt-offerings are continually before me.
9 Da tua casa não tirarei bezerro, nem bodes dos teus currais. I will take no bullock out of thy house, Nor he-goats out of thy folds.
10 Porque meu é todo animal da selva, e o gado sobre milhares de montanhas. For every beast of the forest is mine, And the cattle upon a thousand hills.
11 Conheço todas as aves dos montes; e minhas são todas as feras do campo. I know all the birds of the mountains; And the wild beasts of the field are mine.
12 Se eu tivesse fome, não to diria, pois meu é o mundo e toda a sua plenitude. If I were hungry, I would not tell thee; For the world is mine, and the fulness thereof.
13 Comerei eu carne de touros? ou beberei sangue de bodes? Will I eat the flesh of bulls, Or drink the blood of goats?
14 Oferece a Deus sacrifício de louvor, e paga ao Altíssimo os teus votos. Offer unto God the sacrifice of thanksgiving; And pay thy vows unto the Most High:
15 E invoca-me no dia da angústia; eu te livrarei, e tu me glorificarás. And call upon me in the day of trouble; I will deliver thee, and thou shalt glorify me.
16 ¶ Mas ao ímpio diz Deus: Que fazes tu em recitar os meus estatutos, e em tomar a minha aliança na tua boca? But unto the wicked God saith, What hast thou to do to declare my statutes, And that thou hast taken my covenant in thy mouth,
17 Visto que odeias a correção, e lanças as minhas palavras para detrás de ti. Seeing thou hatest instruction, And castest my words behind thee?
18 Quando vês o ladrão, consentes com ele, e tens a tua parte com adúlteros. When thou sawest a thief, thou consentedst with him, And hast been partaker with adulterers.
19 Soltas a tua boca para o mal, e a tua língua compõe o engano. Thou givest thy mouth to evil, And thy tongue frameth deceit.
20 Assentas-te a falar contra teu irmão; falas mal contra o filho de tua mãe. Thou sittest and speakest against thy brother; Thou slanderest thine own mother's son.
21 Estas coisas tens feito, e eu me calei; pensavas que era tal como tu, mas eu te argüirei, e as porei por ordem diante dos teus olhos: These things hast thou done, and I kept silence; Thou thoughtest that I was altogether such a one as thyself: [But] I will reprove thee, and set [them] in order before thine eyes.
22 Ouvi pois isto, vós que vos esqueceis de Deus; para que eu vos não faça em pedaços, sem haver quem vos livre. Now consider this, ye that forget God, Lest I tear you in pieces, and there be none to deliver:
23 Aquele que oferece o sacrifício de louvor me glorificará; e àquele que bem ordena o seu caminho eu mostrarei a salvação de Deus. Whoso offereth the sacrifice of thanksgiving glorifieth me; And to him that ordereth his way [aright] Will I show the salvation of God.
