| 4 | Volta-te, SENHOR, livra a minha alma; salva-me por tua benignidade. | Return, O Jehovah, deliver my soul: Save me for thy lovingkindness' sake. |
| 5 | Porque na morte não há lembrança de ti; no sepulcro quem te louvará? | For in death there is no remembrance of thee: In Sheol who shall give thee thanks? |
| 6 | Já estou cansado do meu gemido, toda a noite faço nadar a minha cama; molho o meu leito com as minhas lágrimas, | I am weary with my groaning; Every night make I my bed to swim; I water my couch with my tears. |
| 7 | Já os meus olhos estão consumidos pela mágoa, e têm-se envelhecido por causa de todos os meus inimigos. | Mine eye wasteth away because of grief; It waxeth old because of all mine adversaries. |
| 8 | ¶ Apartai-vos de mim todos os que praticais a iniqüidade; porque o SENHOR já ouviu a voz do meu pranto. | Depart from me, all ye workers of iniquity; For Jehovah hath heard the voice of my weeping. |
| 9 | O SENHOR já ouviu a minha súplica; o SENHOR aceitará a minha oração. | Jehovah hath heard my supplication; Jehovah will receive my prayer. |
| 10 | Envergonhem-se e perturbem-se todos os meus inimigos; tornem atrás {e}) envergonhem-se num momento. | All mine enemies shall be put to shame and sore troubled: They shall turn back, they shall be put to shame suddenly. |
