En la komenco Dio kreis la cxielon kaj la teron.

Kaj la tero estis senforma kaj dezerta, kaj mallumo estis super la abismo; kaj la spirito de Dio sxvebis super la akvo.

Kaj Dio diris: Estu lumo; kaj farigxis lumo.

Kaj Dio vidis la lumon, ke gxi estas bona; kaj Dio apartigis la lumon de la mallumo.

Kaj Dio nomis la lumon Tago, kaj la mallumon Li nomis Nokto. Kaj estis vespero, kaj estis mateno, unu tago.

Kaj Dio diris: Estu firmajxo inter la akvo, kaj gxi apartigu akvon de akvo.

Kaj Dio kreis la firmajxon, kaj apartigis la akvon, kiu estas sub la firmajxo, de la akvo, kiu estas super la firmajxo; kaj farigxis tiel.

Kaj Dio nomis la firmajxon CXielo. Kaj estis vespero, kaj estis mateno, la dua tago.

Kaj Dio diris: Kolektigxu la akvo de sub la cxielo en unu lokon, kaj aperu la sekajxo; kaj farigxis tiel.

Kaj Dio nomis la sekajxon Tero, kaj la kolektigxojn de la akvo Li nomis Maroj. Kaj Dio vidis, ke gxi estas bona.

Kaj Dio diris: Kreskigu la tero verdajxon, herbon, kiu naskas semon, fruktarbon, kiu donas laux sia speco frukton, kies semo estas en gxi mem, sur la tero; kaj farigxis tiel.

Kaj la tero elkreskigis verdajxon, herbon, kiu naskas semon laux sia speco, kaj arbon, kiu donas frukton, kies semo estas en gxi mem laux sia speco. Kaj Dio vidis, ke gxi estas bona.

Kaj estis vespero, kaj estis mateno, la tria tago.

Kaj Dio diris: Estu lumajxoj en la cxiela firmajxo, por apartigi la tagon de la nokto, kaj ili prezentu signojn, tempojn, tagojn, kaj jarojn;

kaj ili estu lumajxoj en la cxiela firmajxo, por lumi super la tero; kaj farigxis tiel.

Kaj Dio faris la du grandajn lumajxojn: la pli grandan lumajxon, por regi la tagon, kaj la malpli grandan lumajxon, por regi la nokton, kaj la stelojn.

Kaj Dio starigis ilin sur la cxiela firmajxo, por ke ili lumu sur la teron,

kaj por ke ili regu la tagon kaj la nokton kaj faru diferencon inter la lumo kaj la mallumo. Kaj Dio vidis, ke gxi estas bona.

Kaj estis vespero, kaj estis mateno, la kvara tago.

Kaj Dio diris: La akvo aperigu movigxantajxojn, vivajn estajxojn, kaj birdoj ekflugu super la tero, sub la cxiela firmajxo.

Kaj Dio kreis la grandajn balenojn, kaj cxiujn vivajn estajxojn movigxantajn, kiujn aperigis la akvo, laux ilia speco, kaj cxiujn flugilhavajn birdojn laux ilia speco. Kaj Dio vidis, ke gxi estas bona.

Kaj Dio ilin benis, dirante: Fruktu kaj multigxu, kaj plenigu la akvon en la maroj, kaj la birdoj multigxu sur la tero.

Kaj estis vespero, kaj estis mateno, la kvina tago.

Kaj Dio diris: La tero aperigu vivajn estajxojn, laux ilia speco, brutojn kaj rampajxojn kaj surterajn bestojn, laux ilia speco; kaj farigxis tiel.

Kaj Dio kreis la bestojn de la tero, laux ilia speco, kaj la brutojn, laux ilia speco, kaj cxiujn rampajxojn de la tero, laux ilia speco. Kaj Dio vidis, ke gxi estas bona.

Kaj Dio diris: Ni kreu homon laux Nia bildo, similan al Ni; kaj ili regu super la fisxoj de la maro kaj super la birdoj de la cxielo kaj super la brutoj, kaj super cxiuj rampajxoj, kiuj rampas sur la tero.

Kaj Dio kreis la homon laux Sia bildo, laux la bildo de Dio Li kreis lin; en formo de viro kaj virino Li kreis ilin.

Kaj Dio benis ilin, kaj Dio diris al ili: Fruktu kaj multigxu, kaj plenigu la teron kaj submetu gxin al vi, kaj regu super la fisxoj de la maro kaj super la birdoj de la cxielo, kaj super cxiuj bestoj, kiuj movigxas sur la tero.

Kaj Dio diris: Jen Mi donis al vi cxiujn herbojn, kiuj semas semon, kiuj trovigxas sur la tuta tero, kaj cxiujn arbojn, kiuj havas en si arban frukton, kiu semas semon; tio estu por vi mangxajxo.

Kaj al cxiuj bestoj de la tero kaj al cxiuj birdoj de la cxielo kaj al cxiuj rampajxoj sur la tero, kiuj havas en si vivan animon, la tutan verdan herbajxon kiel mangxajxon. Kaj farigxis tiel.

Kaj Dio rigardis cxion, kion Li kreis, kaj vidis, ke gxi estas tre bona. Kaj estis vespero, kaj estis mateno, la sesa tago.

In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.

And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness {was} upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.

And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.

And God saw the light, that {it was} good: and God divided the light from the darkness. {the light from...: Heb. between the light and between the darkness}

And God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And the evening and the morning were the first day. {And the evening...: Heb. And the evening was, and the morning was etc.}

And God made the firmament, and divided the waters which {were} under the firmament from the waters which {were} above the firmament: and it was so.

And God said, Let the waters under the heaven be gathered together unto one place, and let the dry {land} appear: and it was so.

And God called the dry {land} Earth; and the gathering together of the waters called he Seas: and God saw that {it was} good.

And God said, Let the earth bring forth grass, the herb yielding seed, {and} the fruit tree yielding fruit after his kind, whose seed {is} in itself, upon the earth: and it was so. {grass: Heb. tender grass}

And the earth brought forth grass, {and} herb yielding seed after his kind, and the tree yielding fruit, whose seed {was} in itself, after his kind: and God saw that {it was} good.

And God said, Let there be lights in the firmament of the heaven to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs, and for seasons, and for days, and years: {the day...: Heb. between the day and between the night}

And let them be for lights in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth: and it was so.

And God made two great lights; the greater light to rule the day, and the lesser light to rule the night: {he made} the stars also. {to rule the day...: Heb. for the rule of the day, etc.}

And God set them in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth,

And to rule over the day and over the night, and to divide the light from the darkness: and God saw that {it was} good.

And God said, Let the waters bring forth abundantly the moving creature that hath life, and fowl {that} may fly above the earth in the open firmament of heaven. {moving: or, creeping} {life: Heb. soul} {fowl...: Heb. let fowl fly} {open...: Heb. face of the firmament of heaven}

And God created great whales, and every living creature that moveth, which the waters brought forth abundantly, after their kind, and every winged fowl after his kind: and God saw that {it was} good.

And God blessed them, saying, Be fruitful, and multiply, and fill the waters in the seas, and let fowl multiply in the earth.

And God said, Let the earth bring forth the living creature after his kind, cattle, and creeping thing, and beast of the earth after his kind: and it was so.

And God made the beast of the earth after his kind, and cattle after their kind, and every thing that creepeth upon the earth after his kind: and God saw that {it was} good.

And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.

So God created man in his {own} image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.

And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth. {moveth: Heb. creepeth}

And God said, Behold, I have given you every herb bearing seed, which {is} upon the face of all the earth, and every tree, in the which {is} the fruit of a tree yielding seed; to you it shall be for meat. {bearing...: Heb. seeding seed} {yielding...: Heb. seeding seed}

And to every beast of the earth, and to every fowl of the air, and to every thing that creepeth upon the earth, wherein {there is} life, {I have given} every green herb for meat: and it was so. {life: Heb. a living soul}
