Provérbios 10

1 Dies sind die Sprüche Salomos. Ein weiser Sohn ist seines Vaters Freude; aber ein törichter Sohn ist seiner Mutter Grämen. The proverbs of Solomon. A wise son maketh a glad father; But a foolish son is the heaviness of his mother.
2 Unrecht Gut hilft nicht; aber Gerechtigkeit errettet vor dem Tode. Treasures of wickedness profit nothing; But righteousness delivereth from death.
3 Der HERR läßt die Seele des Gerechten nicht Hunger leiden; er stößt aber weg der Gottlosen Begierde. Jehovah will not suffer the soul of the righteous to famish; But he thrusteth away the desire of the wicked.
4 Lässige Hand macht arm; aber der Fleißigen Hand macht reich. He becometh poor that worketh with a slack hand; But the hand of the diligent maketh rich.
5 Wer im Sommer sammelt, der ist klug; wer aber in der Ernte schläft, wird zu Schanden. He that gathereth in summer is a wise son; [But] he that sleepeth in harvest is a son that causeth shame.
6 Den Segen hat das Haupt des Gerechten; aber den Mund der Gottlosen wird ihr Frevel überfallen. Blessings are upon the head of the righteous; But violence covereth the mouth of the wicked.
7 Das Gedächtnis der Gerechten bleibt im Segen; aber der Gottlosen Name wird verwesen. The memory of the righteous is blessed; But the name of the wicked shall rot.
8 Wer weise von Herzen ist nimmt die Gebote an; wer aber ein Narrenmaul hat, wird geschlagen. The wise in heart will receive commandments; But a prating fool shall fall.
9 Wer unschuldig lebt, der lebt sicher; wer aber verkehrt ist auf seinen Wegen, wird offenbar werden. He that walketh uprightly walketh surely; But he that perverteth his ways shall be known.
10 Wer mit Augen winkt, wird Mühsal anrichten; und der ein Narrenmaul hat, wird geschlagen. He that winketh with the eye causeth sorrow; But a prating fool shall fall.
11 Des Gerechten Mund ist ein Brunnen des Lebens; aber den Mund der Gottlosen wird ihr Frevel überfallen. The mouth of the righteous is a fountain of life; But violence covereth the mouth of the wicked.
12 Haß erregt Hader; aber Liebe deckt zu alle Übertretungen. Hatred stirreth up strifes; But love covereth all transgressions.
13 In den Lippen des Verständigen findet man Weisheit; aber auf den Rücken der Narren gehört eine Rute. In the lips of him that hath discernment wisdom is found; But a rod is for the back of him that is void of understanding.
14 Die Weisen bewahren die Lehre; aber der Narren Mund ist nahe dem Schrecken. Wise men lay up knowledge; But the mouth of the foolish is a present destruction.
15 Das Gut des Reichen ist seine feste Stadt; aber die Armen macht die Armut blöde. The rich man's wealth is his strong city: The destruction of the poor is their poverty.
16 Der Gerechte braucht sein Gut zum Leben; aber der Gottlose braucht sein Einkommen zur Sünde. The labor of the righteous [tendeth] to life; The increase of the wicked, to sin.
17 Die Zucht halten ist der Weg zum Leben; wer aber der Zurechtweisung nicht achtet, der bleibt in der Irre. He is in the way of life that heedeth correction; But he that forsaketh reproof erreth.
18 Falsche Mäuler bergen Haß; und wer verleumdet, der ist ein Narr. He that hideth hatred is of lying lips; And he that uttereth a slander is a fool.
19 Wo viel Worte sind, da geht's ohne Sünde nicht ab; wer aber seine Lippen hält, ist klug. In the multitude of words there wanteth not transgression; But he that refraineth his lips doeth wisely.
20 Des Gerechten Zunge ist köstliches Silber; aber der Gottlosen Herz ist wie nichts. The tongue of the righteous is [as] choice silver: The heart of the wicked is little worth.
21 Des Gerechten Lippen weiden viele; aber die Narren werden an ihrer Torheit sterben. The lips of the righteous feed many; But the foolish die for lack of understanding.
22 Der Segen des HERRN macht reich ohne Mühe. The blessing of Jehovah, it maketh rich; And he addeth no sorrow therewith.
23 Ein Narr treibt Mutwillen und hat dazu noch seinen Spott; aber der Mann ist weise, der aufmerkt. It is as sport to a fool to do wickedness; And [so is] wisdom to a man of understanding.
24 Was der Gottlose fürchtet, das wird ihm begegnen; und was die Gerechten begehren, wird ihnen gegeben. The fear of the wicked, it shall come upon him; And the desire of the righteous shall be granted.
25 Der Gottlose ist wie ein Wetter, das vorübergeht und nicht mehr ist; der Gerechte aber besteht ewiglich. When the whirlwind passeth, the wicked is no more; But the righteous is an everlasting foundation.
26 Wie der Essig den Zähnen und der Rauch den Augen tut, so tut der Faule denen, die ihn senden. As vinegar to the teeth, and as smoke to the eyes, So is the sluggard to them that send him.
27 Die Furcht des HERRN mehrt die Tage; aber die Jahre der Gottlosen werden verkürzt. The fear of Jehovah prolongeth days; But the years of the wicked shall be shortened.
28 Das Warten der Gerechten wird Freude werden; aber der Gottlosen Hoffnung wird verloren sein. The hope of the righteous [shall be] gladness; But the expectation of the wicked shall perish.
29 Der Weg des HERRN ist des Frommen Trotz; aber die Übeltäter sind blöde. The way of Jehovah is a stronghold to the upright; But it is a destruction to the workers of iniquity.
30 Der Gerechte wird nimmermehr umgestoßen; aber die Gottlosen werden nicht im Lande bleiben. The righteous shall never be removed; But the wicked shall not dwell in the land.
31 Der Mund des Gerechten bringt Weisheit; aber die Zunge der Verkehrten wird ausgerottet. The mouth of the righteous bringeth forth wisdom; But the perverse tongue shall be cut off.
32 Die Lippen der Gerechten lehren heilsame Dinge; aber der Gottlosen Mund ist verkehrt. The lips of the righteous know what is acceptable; But the mouth of the wicked [speaketh] perverseness.
