| 3 | (H18:4)Kun kutsun Herraa, ylistettyä, saan avun vihollisiani vastaan. | I will send up my cry to the Lord, who is to be praised; so will I be made safe from those who are against me. |

| 17 | (H18:18)Hän vapautti minut vihollisteni väkevistä käsistä, vihamiehistäni, jotka olivat minua vahvemmat. | He made me free from my strong hater, and from those who were against me, because they were stronger than I. |
| 18 | (H18:19)He kävivät kimppuuni onnettomuuteni hetkellä, mutta tuekseni tuli Herra. | They came on me in the day of my trouble; but the Lord was my support. |
| 19 | (H18:20)Hän avasi minulle tien ja päästi minut vapauteen, sillä hän oli mieltynyt minuun. | He took me out into a wide place; he was my saviour because he had delight in me. |
| 20 | (H18:21)Herra palkitsi minut, koska rakastan oikeutta, sain häneltä palkan, koska tekoni ovat puhtaat. | The Lord gives me the reward of my righteousness, because my hands are clean before him. |
| 21 | (H18:22)Minä olen kulkenut Herran teitä enkä ole luopunut Jumalasta. | For I have kept the ways of the Lord; I have not been turned away in sin from my God. |
| 22 | (H18:23)Hänen käskynsä ovat alati mielessäni, hänen lakejaan minä en koskaan hylkää. | For all his decisions were before me, and I did not put away his laws from me. |
| 23 | (H18:24)Olen ollut vilpitön hänen edessään, olen varonut lankeamasta syntiin. | And I was upright before him, and I kept myself from sin. |
| 24 | (H18:25)Herra palkitsi minut, koska rakastan oikeutta, koska tekoni ovat puhtaat hänen edessään. | Because of this the Lord has given me the reward of my righteousness, because my hands are clean in his eyes. |
| 25 | (H18:26)Herra, sinä olet uskollinen uskolliselle, vilpitöntä kohtaan sinä olet vilpitön. | On him who has mercy you will have mercy; to the upright you will be upright; |

| 32 | (H18:33)Jumala vyöttää minut voimalla, hän osoittaa minulle oikean tien. | God puts a strong band about me, guiding me in a straight way. |
| 33 | (H18:34)Hän tekee jalkani nopeiksi kuin kauriin jalat ja ohjaa kulkuni kukkuloille. | He makes my feet like roes' feet, and puts me on high places. |
| 34 | (H18:35)Hän opettaa käteni taistelemaan, käsivarteni jännittämään sotajousta. | He makes my hands expert in war, so that a bow of brass is bent by my arms. |
| 35 | (H18:36)Herra, sinä asetut kilveksi eteeni, sinun oikea kätesi tukee minua, sinun apusi tekee minut vahvaksi. | You have given me the breastplate of your salvation: your right hand has been my support, and your mercy has made me great. |

Kansat, joita en tuntenut, ovat nyt valtani alla. | You have made me free from the fightings of the people; you have made me the head of the nations: a people of whom I had no knowledge will be my servants. |
| 44 | (H18:45)Ne tottelevat jo ennen kuin käsken, muukalaiset liehittelevät minua. | From the time when my name comes to their ears they will be ruled by me: men of other countries will, with false hearts, put themselves under my authority. |

| 47 | (H18:48)Jumala kostaa puolestani ja saattaa kansat minun valtani alle. | It is God who sends punishment on my haters, and puts peoples under my rule. |
| 48 | (H18:49)Hän vapauttaa minut vihollisteni käsistä, antaa voiton vihamiehistäni, vainoojista hän minut päästää. | He makes me free from my haters; I am lifted up over those who come up against me: you have made me free from the violent man. |
| 49 | (H18:50)Siksi kiitän kansojen keskellä sinua, Herra, laulan kiitosta sinun nimellesi. | Because of this I will give you praise, O Lord, among the nations, and will make a song of praise to your name. |
| 50 | (H18:51)Sinä teet voittoisaksi kansasi kuninkaan, sinä olet uskollinen sille, jonka olet voidellut, Daavidille ja hänen suvulleen, nyt ja aina. | Great salvation does he give to his king; he has mercy on the king of his selection, David, and on his seed for ever. |
