Salmos 69

 
1 (H69:3)Olen vajonnut pohjattomaan liejuun, jalkani ei tavoita lujaa maata. Olen joutunut vetten syvyyksiin, pyörre tempaa minut mukaansa. <To the chief music-maker; put to Shoshannim. Of David.> Be my saviour, O God; because the waters have come in, even to my neck.
2 (H69:4)Minä olen väsynyt huutamaan, kurkkuni on käheä. Silmäni hämärtyivät, kun odotin sinua, Jumala. My feet are deep in the soft earth, where there is no support; I have come into deep waters, the waves are flowing over me.
3 (H69:5)Enemmän kuin hiuksia päässäni on niitä, jotka minua syyttä vihaavat. Vahvoja he ovat, nuo, jotka tahtovat tuhota minut. Syyttä he ovat minun vihamiehiäni. 4 (H69:6)Jumala, sinä tunnet erehdykseni, rikkomukseni eivät pysy sinulta salassa. Those who have hate for me without cause are greater in number than the hairs of my head; those who are against me, falsely desiring my destruction, are very strong; I gave back what I had not taken away.
5 (H69:7)Herrani, Herra Sebaot! Älköön minun takiani joutuko häpeään kukaan, joka odottaa sinua. Israelin Jumala! Älköön minun takiani joutuko pilkattavaksi kukaan, joka etsii sinua. O God, you see how foolish I am; and my wrongdoing is clear to you.
6 (H69:8)Sinun takiasi olen joutunut häväistyksi, häpeän puna peittää kasvoni. Let not those who have hope in you be put to shame because of me, O Lord God of armies: let not those who are waiting for you be made low because of me, O God of Israel.
7 (H69:9)Minusta on tullut vieras veljilleni, äitini pojat eivät minua tunne. I have been wounded with sharp words because of you; my face has been covered with shame.
8 (H69:10)Kiivaus sinun temppelisi puolesta on kuluttanut minut, ja minuun sattuu niiden pilkka, jotka pilkkaavat sinua. I have become strange to my brothers, and like a man from a far country to my mother's children.
9 (H69:11)Minä itkin ja paastosin, mutta siitäkin koitui minulle vain häpeää. I am on fire with passion for your house; and the hard things which are said about you have come on me.
10 (H69:12)Minä pukeuduin karkeaan kankaaseen, mutta minusta tuli vain pilkkalaulun aihe. My bitter weeping, and my going without food, were turned to my shame.
11 (H69:13)Missä ihmiset kokoontuvat, siellä puhutaan minusta. Missä olutta juodaan, siellä lauletaan minusta. When I put on the clothing of grief, they said evil of me.
12 (H69:14)Minä rukoilen sinua, Herra. Kunpa tämä hetki olisi otollinen. Jumala, vastaa minulle! Onhan hyvyytesi suuri ja apusi varma. I am a cause of wonder to those in authority; a song to those who are given to strong drink.
13 (H69:15)Pelasta minut, etten vajoaisi liejuun, pelasta minut vihollisteni käsistä ja vetten syvyyksistä. But as for me, let my prayer be made to you, O Lord, at a time when you are pleased; O God, give me an answer in your great mercy, for your salvation is certain.
14 (H69:16)Älä anna pyörteen temmata minua mukaansa, syvyyden nielaista minua, älä anna kuilun sulkeutua pääni päällä. Take me from the grip of the sticky earth, so that I may not go down into it; let me be lifted up from the deep waters.
15 (H69:17)Vastaa minulle, Herra! Sinä olet uskollinen, katso puoleeni, sinä armollinen. Let me not be covered by the flowing waters; let not the deep waters go over my head, and let me not be shut up in the underworld.
16 (H69:18)Älä kätke kasvojasi palvelijaltasi. Minä olen ahdingossa, vastaa jo minulle! Give an answer to my words, O Lord; for your mercy is good: be turned to me, because of your great pity.
17 (H69:19)Tule luokseni, lunasta minut, osta minut vapaaksi vihollisteni nähden. Let not your face be covered from your servant, for I am in trouble; quickly give me an answer.
18 (H69:20)Sinä näet kaikki ahdistajani, sinä tiedät, että olen kärsinyt häväistystä, herjaa ja pilkkaa. Come near to my soul, for its salvation: be my saviour, because of those who are against me.
19 (H69:21)Häpeä on murtanut sydämeni, haavani ei parane. Turhaan minä odotin sääliä, kukaan ei minua lohduttanut. You have seen my shame, how I was laughed at and made low; my haters are all before you.
20 (H69:22)Viholliseni ovat panneet ruokaani karvasta koiruohoa, janooni he juottivat etikkaa. My heart is broken by bitter words, I am full of grief; I made a search for some to have pity on me, but there was no one; I had no comforter.
21 (H69:23)Tulkoon heidän pitopöytänsä heille ansaksi ja uhrijuhlansa onnettomuudeksi! They gave me poison for my food; and bitter wine for my drink.
22 (H69:24)Tulkoot heidän silmänsä sokeiksi, tee heidän jalkansa heikoiksi. Let their table before them be for their destruction; let their feasts become a net to take them.
23 (H69:25)Vuodata heidän päälleen kiivautesi malja, sinun vihasi hehku kohdatkoon heidät. Let their eyes be blind so that they may not see; let their bodies for ever be shaking.
24 (H69:26)Tulkoon heidän leirinsä autioksi, älköön kukaan asuko heidän teltoissaan. Let your curse come on them; let the heat of your wrath overtake them.

28 (H69:30)Minä olen kurja ja kipua täynnä, mutta sinä, Jumala, autat minut turvaan. Let their names be taken from the book of the living, let them not be numbered with the upright.
29 (H69:31)Minä ylistän lauluin Jumalan nimeä, kunnioitan sitä kiitoksin. But I am poor and full of sorrow; let me be lifted up by your salvation, O Lord.
30 (H69:32)Miellyttäköön kiitokseni Herraa enemmän kuin uhrihärkä, enemmän kuin sarvipää ja halkisorkkainen sonni. I will give praise to the name of God with a song; I will give glory to him for what he has done.
31 (H69:33)Nöyrät näkevät tämän ja iloitsevat, niiden mieli virvoittuu, jotka etsivät Jumalaa, This will be more pleasing to the Lord than an ox, or a young ox of full growth.

34 (H69:36)Jumala pelastaa Siionin ja rakentaa Juudan kaupungit. Hänen kansansa saa asua siellä, se ottaa maan omakseen. Let the heavens and the earth give praise to him, the seas, and everything moving in them.
35 ver mapa (H69:37)Hänen palvelijoittensa jälkeläiset perivät sen, ja ne, jotka rakastavat hänen nimeään, saavat asua siellä. For God will be the saviour of Zion, and the builder of the towns of Judah; so that it may be their resting-place and heritage.
36 The seed of his servants will have their part in it, and there the lovers of his name will have rest.
