Salmos 77

 
1 Laulunjohtajalle. Jedutunin tapaan. Asafin psalmi. (H77:2)Minä rukoilen Jumalaa, huudan suureen ääneen, minä rukoilen Jumalaa, ja hän kuulee minua. <To the chief music-maker. After Jeduthun. Of Asaph. A Psalm.> I was crying to God with my voice; even to God with my voice, and he gave ear to me.
2 (H77:3)Ahdingossani minä etsin apua Herralta, hänen puoleensa kurottuu käteni öisinkin, hellittämättä. Kukaan muu ei voi minua lohduttaa. In the day of my trouble, my heart was turned to the Lord: my hand was stretched out in the night without resting; my soul would not be comforted.
3 (H77:4)Minä ajattelen Jumalaa ja olen levoton, minä mietin, ja tuska valtaa minut. (sela) I will keep God in memory, with sounds of grief; my thoughts are troubled, and my spirit is overcome. (Selah.)
4 (H77:5)Sinä et anna silmieni ummistua, mieleni kuohuu, mutta pysyn vaiti. You keep my eyes from sleep; I am so troubled that no words come.
5 (H77:6)Minä ajattelen muinaisia aikoja, muistelen menneitä vuosia. My thoughts go back to the days of the past, to the years which are gone.
6 (H77:7)Minä pohdin itsekseni kaiken yötä, ajatukset kiertävät päässäni. The memory of my song comes back to me in the night; my thoughts are moving in my heart; my spirit is searching with care.
7 (H77:8)Onko Herra hylännyt meidät ainiaaksi, eikö hän enää välitä meistä? Will the Lord put me away for ever? will he be kind no longer?
8 (H77:9)Onko hän iäksi evännyt laupeutensa, yhäkö hän vaikenee, polvesta polveen? Is his mercy quite gone for ever? has his word come to nothing?
9 (H77:10)Onko Jumala unohtanut armonsa, vihassaan sulkenut sydämensä? (sela) Has God put away the memory of his pity? are his mercies shut up by his wrath? (Selah.)
10 (H77:12)Minä muistelen tekojasi, Herra, muistan ihmeitä, joita muinoin teit. And I said, It is a weight on my spirit; but I will keep in mind the years of the right hand of the Most High.
11 (H77:13)Minä ajattelen kaikkia töitäsi, mietin sinun suuria tekojasi. I will keep in mind the works of Jah: I will keep the memory of your wonders in the past.
12 (H77:14)Jumala, pyhät ovat sinun tiesi. Ei ole sinun vertaistasi jumalaa. I will give thought to all your work, while my mind goes over your acts of power.
13 (H77:15)Sinä olet Jumala, sinä teet ihmeitä, olet osoittanut voimasi kansojen vaiheissa. Your way, O God, is holy: what god is so great as our God?
14 (H77:16)Kätesi voimalla sinä vapautit oman kansasi, Jaakobin ja Joosefin heimon. (sela) You are the God who does works of power: you have made your strength clear to the nations.
15 (H77:17)Vedet näkivät sinut, Jumala, vedet näkivät sinut ja vapisivat, syvyydet vavahtelivat. With your arm you have made your people free, the sons of Jacob and Joseph. (Selah.)
16 (H77:18)Pilvet syöksivät vettä, ylhäällä jylisi ukkonen, tulinuolesi halkoivat taivasta. The waters saw you, O God; the waters saw you, they were in fear: even the deep was troubled.
17 (H77:19)Sinun vaunujesi pyörät ryskyivät, salamat valaisivat maanpiirin, maa vapisi ja järkkyi. The clouds sent out water; the skies gave out a sound; truly, your arrows went far and wide.
18 (H77:20)Meren halki kävi sinun tiesi, suurten vetten poikki sinun polkusi -- jalanjälkiäsi ei kukaan nähnyt. The voice of your thunder went rolling on; the world was flaming with the light of the storm; the earth was shaking.
19 (H77:21)Sinä johdatit kansaasi kuin paimen laumaansa, palvelijoinasi Mooses ja Aaron. Your way was in the sea, and your road in the great waters; there was no knowledge of your footsteps.
20 You were guiding your people like a flock, by the hand of Moses and Aaron.
