Ao mestre de canto. Com instrumentos de corda. Salmo de Davi. Quando vos invoco, respondei-me, ó Deus de minha justiça, vós que na hora da angústia me reconfortastes. Tende piedade de mim e ouvi minha oração.
Ó poderosos, até quando tereis o coração endurecido, no amor das vaidades e na busca da mentira?
O Senhor escolheu como eleito uma pessoa admirável, o Senhor me ouviu quando o invoquei.
Tremei, mas sem pecar; refleti em vossos corações, quando estiverdes em vossos leitos, e calai.
Oferecei vossos sacrifícios com sinceridade e esperai no Senhor.
Dizem muitos: Quem nos fará ver a felicidade? Fazei brilhar sobre nós, Senhor, a luz de vossa face.
Pusestes em meu coração mais alegria do que quando abundam o trigo e o vinho.
Apenas me deito, logo adormeço em paz, porque a segurança de meu repouso vem de vós só, Senhor.

O ye sons of men, how long {will ye turn} my glory into shame? {how long} will ye love vanity, {and} seek after leasing? Selah.
But know that the LORD hath set apart him that is godly for himself: the LORD will hear when I call unto him.
Stand in awe, and sin not: commune with your own heart upon your bed, and be still. Selah.
Offer the sacrifices of righteousness, and put your trust in the LORD.
{There be} many that say, Who will shew us {any} good? LORD, lift thou up the light of thy countenance upon us.
Thou hast put gladness in my heart, more than in the time {that} their corn and their wine increased.
I will both lay me down in peace, and sleep: for thou, LORD, only makest me dwell in safety.
