Salmos 65
Ao mestre de canto. Salmo de Davi. Cântico. A vós, ó Deus, convém o louvor em Sião, é a vós que todos vêm cumprir os seus votos,
vós que atendeis as preces. Todo homem acorre a vós,
por causa de seus pecados. Oprime-nos o peso de nossas faltas: vós no-las perdoais.
Feliz aquele que vós escolheis, e chamais para habitar em vossos átrios. Possamos nós ser saciados dos bens de vossa casa, da santidade de vosso templo.
Vós nos atendeis com os estupendos prodígios de vossa justiça, ó Deus, nosso salvador. Vós sois a esperança dos confins da terra, e dos mais longínquos mares.
Vós que, com a vossa força, sustentais montanhas, cingido de vosso poder.
Vós que aplacais os vagalhões do mar, o bramir de suas vagas e o tumultuar das nações pagãs.
À vista de vossos prodígios, temem-vos os habitantes dos confins da terra; saciais de alegria os extremos do oriente e do ocidente.
Visitastes a terra e a regastes, cumulando-a de fertilidade. De água encheu-se a divina fonte e fizestes germinar o trigo. Assim, pois, fertilizastes a terra:
irrigastes os seus sulcos, nivelastes e as sua glebas; amolecendo-as com as chuvas, abençoastes a sua sementeira.
Coroaste o ano com os vossos benefícios; onde passastes ficou a fartura.
Umedecidas as pastagens do deserto, revestem-se de alegria as colinas.
Os prados são cobertos de rebanhos, e os vales se enchem de trigais. Só há júbilo e cantos de alegria.

O thou that hearest prayer, unto thee shall all flesh come.
Iniquities prevail against me: {as for} our transgressions, thou shalt purge them away. {iniquities: Heb. Words, or, Matters of iniquities}
Blessed {is the man whom} thou choosest, and causest to approach {unto thee, that} he may dwell in thy courts: we shall be satisfied with the goodness of thy house, {even} of thy holy temple.
{By} terrible things in righteousness wilt thou answer us, O God of our salvation; {who art} the confidence of all the ends of the earth, and of them that are afar off {upon} the sea:
Which by his strength setteth fast the mountains; {being} girded with power:
Which stilleth the noise of the seas, the noise of their waves, and the tumult of the people.
They also that dwell in the uttermost parts are afraid at thy tokens: thou makest the outgoings of the morning and evening to rejoice. {rejoice: or, sing}
Thou visitest the earth, and waterest it: thou greatly enrichest it with the river of God, {which} is full of water: thou preparest them corn, when thou hast so provided for it. {and...: or, after thou hadst made it to desire rain}
Thou waterest the ridges thereof abundantly: thou settlest the furrows thereof: thou makest it soft with showers: thou blessest the springing thereof. {settlest: or, causest rain to descend into} {makest...: Heb. dissolvest it}
Thou crownest the year with thy goodness; and thy paths drop fatness. {with: Heb. of}
They drop {upon} the pastures of the wilderness: and the little hills rejoice on every side. {rejoice...: Heb. are girded with joy}
The pastures are clothed with flocks; the valleys also are covered over with corn; they shout for joy, they also sing.
