| 6 | Bring the tribe of Levi near, and present them before Aaron the priest, that they may minister to him. | Hozd elõ Lévi törzsét, és állassad Áron pap elé, hogy szolgáljanak néki. |
| 7 | And they shall keep his charge, and the charge of the whole congregation before the tabernacle of the congregation, to do the service of the tabernacle. | És ügyeljenek az õ ügyére, és az egész gyülekezet ügyére a gyülekezet sátora elõtt, hogy végezhessék a hajlék körül való szolgálatot. |

| 10 | And thou shalt appoint Aaron and his sons, and they shall wait on their priest's office: and the stranger that cometh nigh shall be put to death. | Áront pedig és az õ fiait rendeld [föléjök,] hogy õrizzék az õ papságukat; és ha idegen járulna oda, haljon meg. |
| 11 | And the LORD spoke to Moses, saying, | Szóla azután az Úr Mózesnek, mondván: |
| 12 | And I, behold, I have taken the Levites from among the children of Israel, instead of all the first-born that openeth the matrix among the children of Israel: therefore the Levites shall be mine; | Ímé én kiválasztottam a lévitákat Izráel fiai közül, minden elsõszülött helyett, a mely az õ anyjának méhét megnyitja Izráel fiai között: azért legyenek a léviták enyéim. |

| 16 | And Moses numbered them according to the word of the LORD, as he was commanded. | Megszámlálá azért Mózes õket az Úr szava szerint, a miképen meghagyatott vala néki. |
| 17 | And these were the sons of Levi, by their names; Gershon, and Kohath, and Merari. | És ezek voltak a Lévi fiai az õ neveik szerint: Gerson, Kéhát és Mérári. |
| 18 | And these are the names of the sons of Gershon by their families; Libni, and Shimei. | Ezek pedig a Gerson fiainak nevei az õ nemzetségök szerint: Libni és Simhi. |
| 19 | And the sons of Kohath by their families; Amram, and Izehar, Hebron, and Uzziel. | Továbbá a Kéhát fiai az õ nemzetségök szerint: Amrám és Iczhár, Hebron és Uzziél. |
| 20 | And the sons of Merari by their families; Mahli, and Mushi: these are the families of the Levites, according to the house of their fathers. | A Mérári fiai pedig az õ nemzetségök szerint: Makhli és Músi. Ezek a Lévi nemzetségei, az õ atyáiknak háznépe szerint. |

| 25 | And the charge of the sons of Gershon in the tabernacle of the congregation shall be the tabernacle, and the tent, its covering, and the hanging for the door of the tabernacle of the congregation, | A Gerson fiainak [tiszte] pedig: ügyelni a gyülekezet sátorában, a hajlékra, a sátorra, annak takarójára, és a gyülekezet sátora nyílásának leplére. |
| 26 | And the hangings of the court, and the curtain for the door of the court, which is by the tabernacle, and by the altar round about, and the cords of it, for all the service of it. | Továbbá a pitvarnak szõnyegeire, és a pitvar nyílásának leplére, a mely van a hajlékon és az oltáron köröskörül, és annak köteleire, és minden azzal járó szolgálatra. |
| 27 | And of Kohath was the family of the Amramites, and the family of the Izharites, and the family of the Hebronites, and the family of the Uzzielites: these are the families of the Kohathites. | Kéháttól való pedig az Amrám nemzetsége, az Iczhár nemzetsége, a Hebron nemzetsége és az Uzziél nemzetsége: Ezek Kéhátnak nemzetségei. |
| 28 | In the number of all the males from a month old and upward, were eight thousand and six hundred, keeping the charge of the sanctuary. | Minden finemûnek száma szerint, egy hónapostól fogva és feljebb, nyolczezeren és hatszázan valának a szenthelynek õrizõi. |

| 30 | And the chief of the house of the father of the families of the Kohathites shall be Elizaphan the son of Uzziel. | És a Kéhátiták nemzetségének, az õ atyái háznépének fejedelme [legyen] Elisáfán, Uzziélnek fia. |
| 31 | And their charge shall be the ark, and the table, and the candlestick, and the altars, and the vessels of the sanctuary with which they minister, and the hanging, and all the service of it. | Az õ [tisztök] pedig, ügyelni a ládára, az asztalra, a gyertyatartóra, az oltárokra és a szenthelynek edényeire, a melyekkel szolgálnak, és a takaróra, és minden azzal járó szolgálatra. |
| 32 | And Eleazar the son of Aaron the priest shall be chief over the chief of the Levites, and have the oversight of them that keep the charge of the sanctuary. | Továbbá a léviták fejedelmeinek fejedelme [legyen] Eleázár, Áron pap fia: a szenthelyre ügyelõknek elõljárója. |

| 35 | And the chief of the house of the father of the families of Merari was Zuriel the son of Abihail: these shall pitch on the side of the tabernacle northward. | És a Mérári nemzetségének, az õ atyái háznépének fejedelme [legyen] Suriel, az Abihail fia; a hajléknak észak felõl való oldala mellett járjanak tábort. |
| 36 | And under the custody and charge of the sons of Merari shall be the boards of the tabernacle, and its bars, and its pillars, and its sockets, and all its vessels, and all that serveth to it. | A Mérári fiainak pedig tisztök legyen felügyelni: a hajlék deszkáira, annak reteszrúdaira, oszlopaira és annak talpaira, minden edényeire és minden azzal járó szolgálatra; |

| 38 | But those that encamp before the tabernacle towards the east, even before the tabernacle of the congregation eastward shall be Moses and Aaron, and his sons, keeping the charge of the sanctuary, for the charge of the children of Israel; and the stranger that cometh nigh shall be put to death. | A hajlék elõtt keletre, a gyülekezet sátora elõtt naptámadat felõl, Mózes, Áron és az õ fiai járjanak tábort, a kik felügyelnek a szenthely szolgálatára, [és] Izráel fiainak ügyeire; ha pedig idegen járulna oda, haljon meg. |

| 41 | And thou shalt take the Levites for me (I am the LORD) instead of all the first-born among the children of Israel; and the cattle of the Levites, instead of all the firstlings among the cattle of the children of Israel. | És válaszd a lévitákat nékem (én vagyok az Úr) az Izráel fiai közül való minden elsõszülött helyett; és a léviták barmait, Izráel fiai barmainak minden elsõ fajzása helyett. |
| 42 | And Moses numbered, as the LORD commanded him, all the first-born among the children of Israel. | Megszámlálá azért Mózes, a mint parancsolta vala néki az Úr, Izráel fiainak minden elsõszülöttét. |
| 43 | And all the first-born males by the number of names, from a month old and upward, of those that were numbered of them, were twenty and two thousand two hundred and seventy and three. | És lõn minden finemû elsõszülött a nevek száma szerint, egy hónapostól fogva és feljebb, az õ megszámláltjaik: huszonkét ezer kétszáz és hetvenhárom. |
| 44 | And the LORD spoke to Moses, saying, | És szóla az Úr Mózesnek, mondván: |
| 45 | Take the Levites instead of all the first-born among the children of Israel, and the cattle of the Levites instead of their cattle; and the Levites shall be mine: I am the LORD. | Válaszd a lévitákat az Izráel fiai közül való minden elsõszülött helyett; és a léviták barmait az õ barmaik helyett, és legyenek enyéim a léviták. Én vagyok az Úr. |
| 46 | And for those that are to be redeemed of the two hundred and seventy and three, of the first-born of the children of Israel, which are more than the Levites: | A mi pedig a kétszáz és hetvenháromnak megváltását illeti, a kik felül vannak a lévitákon Izráel fiainak elsõszülöttei közül: |
| 47 | Thou shalt even take five shekels apiece by the poll, after the shekel of the sanctuary shalt thou take them: the shekel is twenty gerahs. | Végy öt-öt siklust fejenként; a szent siklus szerint vedd azt, (húsz géra egy siklus). |
| 48 | And thou shalt give to Aaron and to his sons the money, with which the odd number of them is to be redeemed. | És add azt a pénzt Áronnak és az õ fiainak, váltságul a köztök lévõ számfelettiekért. |
| 49 | And Moses took the redemption-money of them that were over and above them that were redeemed by the Levites: | Bevevé azért Mózes a váltságpénzt azoktól, a kik felül voltak a lévitáktól megváltottakon. |
| 50 | Of the first-born of the children of Israel he took the money; a thousand three hundred and sixty and five shekels, after the shekel of the sanctuary. | Izráel fiainak elsõszülöttitõl vevé be e pénzt: ezer háromszáz és hatvanöt siklust, a szent siklus szerint. |
| 51 | And Moses gave the money of them that were redeemed to Aaron, and to his sons, according to the word of the LORD, as the LORD commanded Moses. | És adá Mózes a megváltottaknak pénzét Áronnak és az õ fiainak, az Úr rendelete szerint, a miképen parancsolta az Úr Mózesnek. |
