| 17 | For thou art the glory of their strength: and in thy favor our horn shall be exalted. | A te nevedben örvendeznek egész nap; és a te igazságodban felmagasztaltatnak. |
| 18 | For the LORD is our defense; and the Holy One of Israel is our king. | Mert az õ erejöknek ékessége te vagy; a te jóakaratoddal emeled fel a mi szarvunkat is. |
| 19 | Then thou didst speak in vision to thy holy one, and say, I have laid help upon one that is mighty; I have exalted one chosen out of the people. | Mert az Úr a mi paizsunk, és Izráelnek Szentje a mi királyunk. |
| 20 | I have found David my servant; with my holy oil have I anointed him: | Akkor látásban szóltál a te kegyeltednek, és mondád: Segítséget adtam a vitéznek, felmagasztaltam a népbõl választottat; |
| 21 | With whom my hand shall be established: my arm also shall strengthen him. | Megtaláltam Dávidot, az én szolgámat; szent olajommal kentem fel õt, |
| 22 | The enemy shall not exact upon him; nor the son of wickedness afflict him. | A kivel állandóan vele lesz az én kezem, sõt az én karom erõsíti meg õt. |
| 23 | And I will beat down his foes before his face, and afflict them that hate him. | Nem nyomhatja õt el az ellenség, és a gonosz ember sem nyomorgatja meg õt; |
| 24 | But my faithfulness and my mercy shall be with him: and in my name shall his horn be exalted. | Mert õ elõtte rontom meg az õ szorongatóit, és verem meg az õ gyûlölõit. |
| 25 | I will set his hand also in the sea, and his right hand in the rivers. | És vele lesz az én hûségem és kegyelmem, és az én nevemmel magasztaltatik fel az õ szarva. |
| 26 | He shall cry to me, Thou art my father, my God, and the rock of my salvation. | És rávetem az õ kezét a tengerre, és az õ jobbját a folyóvizekre. |
| 27 | Also I will make him my first-born, higher than the kings of the earth. | Õ így szólít engem: Atyám vagy te; én Istenem és szabadításom kõsziklája! |
| 28 | My mercy will I keep for him for evermore, and my covenant shall stand fast with him. | Én meg elsõszülöttemmé teszem õt [és] felebbvalóvá a föld királyainál. |
| 29 | His seed also will I make to endure for ever, and his throne as the days of heaven. | Örökké megtartom néki az én kegyelmemet, és az én szövetségem bizonyos [marad] õ vele. |
| 30 | If his children forsake my law, and walk not in my judgments; | És az õ magvát örökkévalóvá teszem, és az õ királyi székét, mint az egeknek napjait. |
| 31 | If they break my statutes, and keep not my commandments; | Ha az õ fiai elhagyják az én törvényemet, és nem járnak az én végzéseim szerint; |
| 32 | Then will I visit their transgression with the rod, and their iniquity with stripes. | Ha az én rendeléseimet megtörik, és meg nem tartják az én parancsolatimat: |
| 33 | Nevertheless my loving-kindness will I not utterly take from him, nor suffer my faithfulness to fail. | Akkor vesszõvel látogatom meg az õ bûnöket, és vereségekkel az õ álnokságukat; |
| 34 | My covenant will I not break, nor alter the thing that hath gone out of my lips. | De az én kegyelmemet nem vonom meg tõle, és az én hûséges voltomban nem hazudom. |
| 35 | Once have I sworn by my holiness that I will not lie to David. | Nem töröm meg az én szövetségemet, és a mi kijött az én számból, el nem változtatom. |
| 36 | His seed shall endure for ever, and his throne as the sun before me. | Megesküdtem egyszer az én szentségemre: vajjon megcsalhatnám-é Dávidot? |
| 37 | It shall be established for ever as the moon, and as a faithful witness in heaven. Selah. | Az õ magva örökké megmarad, és az õ királyi széke olyan elõttem, mint a nap. |
| 38 | But thou hast cast off and abhorred, thou hast been wroth with thy anointed. | Megáll örökké, mint a hold, és bizonyos, mint a felhõben lévõ bizonyság. Szela. |

| 50 | Remember, Lord, the reproach of thy servants; how I do bear in my bosom the reproach of all the mighty people; | Hol van a te elõbbi kegyelmességed, Uram? Megesküdtél Dávidnak a te hûséges voltodra! |
| 51 | With which thy enemies have reproached, O LORD; with which they have reproached the footsteps of thy anointed | Emlékezzél meg Uram a te szolgáidnak gyalázatjokról! hogy sok népnek [gyalázatját] hordozom keblemben, |
