1 And the third day there was a marriage in Cana of Galilee; and the mother of Jesus was there:2 And Jesus also was invited, and his disciples, to the marriage.3 And when they wanted wine, the mother of Jesus saith to him, They have no wine.4 Jesus saith to her, Woman, what have I to do with thee? my hour is not yet come.5 His mother saith to the servants, Whatever he saith to you, do it.6 And there were set there six waterpots of stone, after the manner of the purifying of the Jews, containing two or three firkins apiece.7 Jesus saith to them, Fill the waterpots with water. And they filled them to the brim.8 And he saith to them, Draw out now, and bear to the governor of the feast. And they bore it.9 When the ruler of the feast had tasted the water that was made wine, and knew not where it was from: (but the servants who drew the water knew;) the governor of the feast called the bridegroom,10 And saith to him, Every man at the beginning serveth the good wine; and when men have well drunk, then that which is worse: but thou hast kept the good wine until now.11 This beginning of miracles Jesus performed in Cana of Galilee, and manifested his glory; and his disciples believed on him.

1 And as Jesus passed by, he saw a man who was blind from his birth.2 And his disciples asked him, saying, Master, who sinned, this man, or his parents, that he was born blind?3 Jesus answered, Neither hath this man sinned, nor his parents: but that the works of God should be revealed in him.4 I must work the works of him that sent me, while it is day: the night cometh, when no man can work.5 As long as I am in the world, I am the light of the world.6 When he had thus spoken, he spat on the ground, and made clay of the spittle, and he anointed the eyes of the blind man with the clay, anointed…: or, spread the clay upon the eyes of the blind man7 And said to him, Go, wash in the pool of Siloam, (which is by interpretation, Sent.) He went away therefore, and washed, and came seeing.8 The neighbours therefore, and they who before had seen him that he was blind, said, Is not this he that sat and begged?9 Some sayd, This is he: others said, He is like him: but he sayd, I am he.10 Therefore they said to him, How were thy eyes opened?11 He answered and said, A man that is called Jesus made clay, and anointed my eyes, and said to me, Go to the pool of Siloam, and wash: and I went and washed, and I received sight.12 Then said they to him, Where is he? He said, I know not.

13 When Jesus heard of it, he departed from there in a boat into a desert place by himself: and when the people had heard of it, they followed him on foot out of the cities.14 And Jesus went forth, and saw a great multitude, and was moved with compassion toward them, and he healed their sick.15 And when it was evening, his disciples came to him, saying, This is a desert place, and the time is now late; send the multitude away, that they may go into the villages, and buy themselves food.16 But Jesus said to them, They need not depart; give ye them to eat.17 And they say to him, We have here but five loaves, and two fishes.18 He said, Bring them here to me.19 And he commanded the multitude to sit down on the grass, and took the five loaves, and the two fishes, and looking up to heaven, he blessed, and broke, and gave the loaves to his disciples, and the disciples to the multitude.20 And they all ate, and were satisfied: and they took up of the fragments that remained twelve baskets full.21 And they that had eaten were about five thousand men, besides women and children.

35 And the same day, when the evening was come, he saith to them, Let us pass over to the other side.36 And when they had sent away the multitude, they took him even as he was in the boat. And there were also with him other little boats.37 And there arose a great storm of wind, and the waves beat into the boat, so that it was now full.38 And he was in the stern of the boat, asleep on a pillow: and they awake him, and say to him, Master, carest thou not that we perish?39 And he arose, and rebuked the wind, and said to the sea, Peace, be still. And the wind ceased, and there was a great calm.40 And he said to them, Why are ye so fearful? how is it that ye have no faith?41 And they feared exceedingly, and said one to another, What manner of man is this, that even the wind and the sea obey him?

25 And a certain woman, who had an issue of blood twelve years,26 And had suffered many things from many physicians, and had spent all that she had, and was no better, but rather grew worse,27 When she had heard of Jesus, came in the crowd behind, and touched his garment.28 For she said, If I may touch but his clothes, I shall be made well.29 And immediately the fountain of her blood was dried up; and she felt in her body that she was healed of that affliction.30 And Jesus, immediately knowing in himself that power had gone out of him, turned him about in the crowd, and said, Who touched my clothes?31 And his disciples said to him, Thou seest the multitude thronging thee, and sayest thou, Who touched me?32 And he looked around to see her that had done this thing.33 But the woman fearing and trembling, knowing what was done in her, came and fell down before him, and told him all the truth.34 And he said to her, Daughter, thy faith hath made thee well; go in peace, and be healed of thy affliction.

1 And they came over to the other side of the sea, into the country of the Gadarenes.2 And when he had come out of the boat, immediately there met him out of the tombs a man with an unclean spirit,3 Who had his dwelling among the tombs; and no man could bind him, no, not with chains:4 For he had been often bound with fetters and chains, and the chains had been plucked asunder by him, and the fetters broken in pieces: neither could any man tame him.5 And always, night and day, he was on the mountains, and in the tombs, crying, and cutting himself with stones.6 But when he saw Jesus afar off, he ran and worshipped him,7 And cried with a loud voice, and said, What have I to do with thee, Jesus, thou Son of the most high God? I adjure thee by God, that thou torment me not.8 For he said to him, Come out of the man, thou unclean spirit.9 And he asked him, What is thy name? And he answered, saying, My name is Legion: for we are many.10 And he besought him much that he would not send them away out of the country.11 Now there was there near to the mountains a great herd of swine feeding.12 And all the demons besought him, saying, Send us into the swine, that we may enter into them.13 And immediately Jesus gave them leave. And the unclean spirits went out, and entered into the swine: and the herd ran violently down a steep place into the sea, (they were about two thousand;) and were choked in the sea.14 And they that fed the swine fled, and told it in the city, and in the country. And they went out to see what it was that was done.15 And they come to Jesus, and see him that was possessed with the demon, and had the legion, sitting, and clothed, and in his right mind: and they were afraid.16 And they that saw it told them how it befell him that was possessed with the demon, and also concerning the swine.17 And they began to beseech him to depart out of their region.18 And when he had come into the boat, he that had been possessed with the demon begged him that he might be with him.19 However Jesus permitted him not, but saith to him, Go home to thy friends, and tell them what great things the Lord hath done for thee, and hath had compassion on thee.20 And he departed, and began to proclaim in Decapolis what great things Jesus had done for him: and all men marvelled.

But when he had put them all out, he taketh the father and the mother of the child, and them that were with him, and entereth in where the child was lying.41 And he took the child by the hand, and said to her, Talitha cumi; which is, being interpreted, Little girl, I say to thee, arise.42 And immediately the child arose, and walked; for she was of the age of twelve years. And they were astonished with a great astonishment.43 And he charged them strictly that no man should know it; and commanded that something should be given her to eat.

22 And immediately Jesus constrained his disciples to get into a boat, and to go before him to the other side, while he sent the multitudes away.23 And when he had sent the multitudes away, he went up to a mountain by himself to pray: and when the evening was come, he was there alone.24 But the boat was now in the midst of the sea, tossed with waves: for the wind was contrary.25 And in the fourth watch of the night Jesus went to them, walking on the sea.26 And when the disciples saw him walking on the sea, they were troubled, saying, It is a ghost; and they cried out for fear.27 But immediately Jesus spoke to them, saying, Be of good cheer; it is I; be not afraid.28 And Peter answered him and said, Lord, if it is thou, bid me come to thee on the water.29 And he said, Come. And when Peter had come down out of the boat, he walked on the water, to go to Jesus.30 But when he saw the wind boisterous, he was afraid; and beginning to sink, he cried, saying, Lord, save me. boisterous: or, strong31 And immediately Jesus stretched forth his hand, and caught him, and said to him, O thou of little faith, why didst thou doubt?32 And when they had come into the boat, the wind ceased.33 Then they that were in the boat came and worshipped him, saying, In truth thou art the Son of God.

1 And again he entered into Capernaum after some days; and it was heard that he was in the house.2 And immediately many were gathered together, so that there was no room to receive them, no, not so much as about the door: and he preached the word to them.3 And they come to him, bringing one sick with the palsy, who was borne by four.4 And when they could not come near to him by reason of the crowd, they uncovered the roof where he was: and when they had broken it up, they let down the bed on which the sick with the palsy lay.5 When Jesus saw their faith, he said to the sick with the palsy, Son, thy sins are forgiven thee.6 But there were certain of the scribes sitting there, and reasoning in their hearts,7 Why doth this man thus speak blasphemies? who can forgive sins but God only?8 And immediately when Jesus perceived in his spirit that they so reasoned within themselves, he said to them, Why reason ye these things in your hearts?9 Which is easier to say to the sick with the palsy, Thy sins are forgiven thee; or to say, Arise, and take up thy bed, and walk?10 But that ye may know that the Son of man hath authority on earth to forgive sins, (he saith to the sick with the palsy,)11 I say to thee, Arise, and take up thy bed, and go into thy house.12 And immediately he arose, took up the bed, and went forth before them all; so that they were all amazed, and glorified God, saying, We never saw it on this fashion.

1 Now a certain man was sick, named Lazarus, of Bethany, the town of Mary and her sister Martha.2 (It was that Mary who anointed the Lord with ointment, and wiped his feet with her hair, whose brother Lazarus was sick.)3 Therefore his sisters sent to him, saying, Lord, behold, he whom thou lovest is sick.4 When Jesus heard that, he said, This sickness is not to death, but for the glory of God, that the Son of God may be glorified by it.5 Now Jesus loved Martha, and her sister, and Lazarus.6 When therefore he had heard that he was sick, he abode two days still in the same place where he was.7 Then after that he saith to his disciples, Let us go into Judaea again.8 His disciples say to him, Master, the Jews of late sought to stone thee; and goest thou there again?9 Jesus answered, Are there not twelve hours in the day? If any man walketh in the day, he stumbleth not, because he seeth the light of this world.10 But if a man walketh in the night, he stumbleth, because there is no light in him.11 These things he said: and after that he saith to them, Our friend Lazarus sleepeth; but I go, that I may awake him out of sleep.12 Then said his disciples, Lord, if he sleepeth, he shall do well.13 Now Jesus spoke of his death: but they thought that he had spoken of taking rest in sleep.14 Then said Jesus to them plainly, Lazarus is dead.15 And I am glad for your sakes that I was not there, to the intent ye may believe; nevertheless let us go to him.16 Then said Thomas, who is called Didymus, to his fellowdisciples, Let us also go, that we may die with him.17 Then when Jesus came, he found that he had lain in the grave four days already.18 Now Bethany was near to Jerusalem, about fifteen furlongs off: about…: that is, about two miles19 And many of the Jews came to Martha and Mary, to comfort them concerning their brother.20 Then Martha, as soon as she heard that Jesus was coming, went and met him: but Mary sat in the house.21 Then said Martha to Jesus, Lord, if thou hadst been here, my brother had not died.22 But I know, that even now, whatever thou wilt ask of God, God will give it thee.23 Jesus saith to her, Thy brother shall rise again.24 Martha saith to him, I know that he shall rise again in the resurrection at the last day.25 Jesus said to her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live:26 And whoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die. Believest thou this?27 She saith to him, Yea, Lord: I believe that thou art the Christ, the Son of God, who was to come into the world.28 And when she had so said, she went her way, and called Mary her sister secretly, saying, The Master is come, and calleth for thee.29 As soon as she heard that, she arose quickly, and came to him.30 Now Jesus had not yet come into the town, but was in that place where Martha met him.31 The Jews then who were with her in the house, and comforted her, when they saw Mary, that she rose up hastily and went out, followed her, saying, She goeth to the grave to weep there.32 Then when Mary had come where Jesus was, and saw him, she fell down at his feet, saying to him, Lord, if thou hadst been here, my brother had not died.33 When Jesus therefore saw her weeping, and the Jews also weeping who came with her, he groaned in the spirit, and was troubled, was troubled: Gr. he troubled himself34 And said, Where have ye laid him? They said to him, Lord, come and see.35 Jesus wept.36 Then said the Jews, Behold how he loved him!37 And some of them said, Could not this man, who opened the eyes of the blind, have caused that even this man should not have died?38 Jesus therefore again groaning in himself cometh to the grave. It was a cave, and a stone lay upon it.39 Jesus said, Take ye away the stone. Martha, the sister of him that was dead, saith to him, Lord, by this time his body smelleth: for he hath been dead four days.40 Jesus saith to her, Said I not to thee, that, if thou wouldest believe, thou shouldest see the glory of God?41 Then they took away the stone from the place where the dead was laid. And Jesus lifted up his eyes, and said, Father, I thank thee that thou hast heard me.42 And I knew that thou hearest me always: but because of the people who stand by I said it, that they may believe that thou hast sent me.43 And when he had thus spoken, he cried with a loud voice, Lazarus, come forth.44 And he that was dead came forth, bound hand and foot with graveclothes: and his face was bound about with a cloth. Jesus saith to them, Loose him, and let him go.
