Quem ouve a Palavra crê e obtém a salvação eterna.
For there is no distinction between Jew and Gentile; for the same Lord is Lord over all [of us], and [He is] abounding in riches (blessings) for all who call on Him [in faith and prayer]. For "whoever calls on the name of the Lord [in prayer] will be saved." [Joel 2:32]
But how will people call on Him in whom they have not believed? And how will they believe in Him of whom they have not heard? And how will they hear without a preacher (messenger)? And how will they preach unless they are commissioned and sent [for that purpose]? Just as it is written and forever remains written, "How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news of good things!" [Is 52:7]
But they did not all pay attention to the good news [of salvation]; for Isaiah says, "Lord, who has believed our report?" [Is 53:1] So faith comes from hearing [what is told], and what is heard comes by the [preaching of the] message concerning Christ.
This is all I want to ask of you: did you receive the [Holy] Spirit as the result of obeying [the requirements of] the Law, or was it the result of hearing [the message of salvation and] with faith [believing it]?
In Him, you also, when you heard the word of truth, the good news of your salvation, and [as a result] believed in Him, were stamped with the seal of the promised Holy Spirit [the One promised by Christ] as owned and protected [by God]. [John 7:39; Acts 2:33] The Spirit is the guarantee [the first installment, the pledge, a foretaste] of our inheritance until the redemption of God’s own [purchased] possession [His believers], to the praise of His glory.
"I assure you and most solemnly say to you, the person who hears My word [the one who heeds My message], and believes and trusts in Him who sent Me, has (possesses now) eternal life [that is, eternal life actually begins—the believer is transformed], and does not come into judgment and condemnation, but has passed [over] from death into life.
Two Resurrections
I assure you and most solemnly say to you, a time is coming and is [here] now, when the dead will hear the voice of the Son of God, and those who hear it will live.
No one can come to Me unless the Father who sent Me draws him [giving him the desire to come to Me]; and I will raise him up [from the dead] on the last day.It is written in the prophets, ‘And they will all be taught of God.’ Everyone who has listened to and learned from the Father, comes to Me. [Is 54:13] Not that anyone has seen the Father, except He [who was with the Father and] who is from God; He [alone] has seen the Father.I assure you and most solemnly say to you, he who believes [in Me as Savior—whoever adheres to, trusts in, relies on, and has faith in Me—already] has eternal life [that is, now possesses it].
Ouvir e obedecer
Felizes os que ouvem a Palavra de Deus e a praticam. Quem tem ouvidos ouça o que o Espírito diz.
But He said, "On the contrary, blessed (happy, favored by God) are those who hear the word of God and continually observe it."
If anyone has ears to hear, let him hear and heed My words."
And He said to them, "Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation.
In them the prophecy of Isaiah is being fulfilled, which says,
‘You will hearandkeep on hearing, but never understand;
And you will lookandkeep on looking, but never comprehend;
For this nation’s heart has grown hard,
And with their ears they hardly hear,
And they have [tightly] closed their eyes,
Otherwise they would see with their eyes,
And hear with their ears,
And understand with their heart, and turn [to Me]
And I would heal them [spiritually].’ [Is 6:9]
But blessed [spiritually aware, and favored by God] are your eyes, because they see; and your ears, because they hear. [Luke 10:23, 24]
After Jesus called the crowd to Him, He said, "Listen and understand this:
"Incline your ear [to listen] and come to Me;
Hear, so that your soul may live;
And I will make an everlasting covenant with you,
According to the faithful mercies [promised and] shown to David. [2 Sam 7:8-16; Acts 13:34; Heb 13:20]
And He said, "Go, and tell this people:
‘Keep on listening, but do not understand;
Keep on looking, but do not comprehend.’
"Make the heart of this people insensitive,
Their ears dull,
And their eyes dim,
Otherwise they might see with their eyes,
Hear with their ears,
Understand with their hearts,
And return and be healed."
At the same time pray for us, too, that God will open a door [of opportunity] to us for the word, to proclaim the mystery of Christ, for which I have been imprisoned;
