12 since there is no distinction between Jew and Greek,  * because the same Lord  * of all  * richly blesses all who call on him. 13 For everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.*,*

14 How, then, can they call on him they have not believed in? And how can they believe without hearing about him?  * And how can they hear without a preacher?  *15 And how can they preach unless they are sent? As it is written: How beautiful*are the feet of those who bring good news.*,*16 But not all obeyed the gospel.  * For Isaiah says, Lord, who has believed our message?*,*17 So faith comes from what is heard,  * and what is heard comes through the message about Christ.  *,*

2 I only want to learn this from you: Did you receive the Spirit by the works of the law or by believing what you heard?  *

13 In him you also were sealed with the promised Holy Spirit  * when you heard the word of truth,  * the gospel of your salvation, and when you believed. 14 The Holy Spirit is the down payment  * of our inheritance, until the redemption of the possession, to the praise of his glory.

24 "Truly I tell you, anyone who hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life*and will not come under judgment but has passed from death to life.

25 "Truly I tell you, an hour is coming, and is now here,*when the dead will hear the voice of the Son of God, and those who hear will live.*

44 No one can come to me unless the Father who sent me draws*him, and I will raise him up on the last day.45 It is written in the Prophets:*And they will all be taught by God.*,*Everyone who has listened to and learned from the Father*comes to me —  46 not that anyone has seen the Father*except the one who is from God.*He has seen the Father.*

47 "Truly I tell you, anyone who believes*has eternal life.

28 He said, "Rather, blessed are those who hear the word of God*and keep it."*

23 If anyone has ears to hear, let him listen."*

15 Then  * he said to them, "Go into all the world*and preach the gospel to all creation.*

14 Isaiah’s prophecy is fulfilled in them, which says:

You will listen and listen,

but never understand;

you will look and look,

but never perceive.*

15 For this people’s heart has grown callous;

their ears are hard of hearing,

and they have shut their eyes;

otherwise they might see with their eyes,

and hear with their ears, and

understand with their hearts,

and turn back —

and I would heal them.*,*

16 "Blessed are your eyes*because they do see, and your ears because they do hear.*

10 Summoning the crowd, he told them, "Listen and understand:

3 Pay attention and come to me;

listen, so that you will live.

I will make a permanent covenant with you  *

on the basis of the faithful kindnesses of David.  *,*

9 And he replied:

Go! Say to these people:

Keep listening, but do not understand;  *

keep looking, but do not perceive.

10 Make the minds  * of these people dull;

deafen their ears and blind their eyes;

otherwise they might see with their eyes

and hear with their ears,

understand with their minds,

turn back, and be healed.  *

3 At the same time, pray also for us that God may open a door  * to us for the word, to speak the mystery of Christ,  * for which I am in chains,  *
