12 For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek; the same Lord is Lord of all and bestows his riches upon all who call upon him.13 For, "every one who calls upon the name of the Lord will be saved."14 But how are men to call upon him in whom they have not believed? And how are they to believe in him of whom they have never heard? And how are they to hear without a preacher?15 And how can men preach unless they are sent? As it is written, "How beautiful are the feet of those who preach good news!"16 But they have not all obeyed the gospel; for Isaiah says, "Lord, who has believed what he has heard from us?"17 So faith comes from what is heard, and what is heard comes by the preaching of Christ.

2 Let me ask you only this: Did you receive the Spirit by works of the law, or by hearing with faith?

13 In him you also, who have heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation, and have believed in him, were sealed with the promised Holy Spirit,14 which is the guarantee of our inheritance until we acquire possession of it, to the praise of his glory.

24 "Truly, truly, I say to you, the hour is coming, and now is, when the dead will hear the voice of the Son of God, and those who hear will live.

25 For as the Father has life in himself, so he has granted the Son also to have life in himself,

44 No one can come to me unless the Father who sent me draws him; and I will raise him up at the last day.45 It is written in the prophets, And they shall all be taught by God.' Every one who has heard and learned from the Father comes to me.46 Not that any one has seen the Father except him who is from God; he has seen the Father.47 Truly, truly, I say to you, he who believes has eternal life.

28 But he said, "Blessed rather are those who hear the word of God and keep it!"

23 If any man has ears to hear, let him hear."

15 And he said to them, "Go into all the world and preach the gospel to the whole creation.

14 With them indeed is fulfilled the prophecy of Isaiah which says: You shall indeed hear but never understand, and you shall indeed see but never perceive.15 For this people's heart has grown dull, and their ears are heavy of hearing, and their eyes they have closed, lest they should perceive with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and understand with their heart, and turn for me to heal them.'16 But blessed are your eyes, for they see, and your ears, for they hear.

10 And he called the people to him and said to them, "Hear and understand:

3 Incline your ear, and come to me; hear, that your soul may live; and I will make with you an everlasting covenant, my steadfast, sure love for David.

9 And he said, "Go, and say to this people: Hear and hear, but do not understand; see and see, but do not perceive.'10 Make the heart of this people fat, and their ears heavy, and shut their eyes; lest they see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and understand with their hearts, and turn and be healed."

3 and pray for us also, that God may open to us a door for the word, to declare the mystery of Christ, on account of which I am in prison,
