A última palavra vem do Senhor
Quando o futuro parece incerto e os planos mudam de rumo de uma hora para a outra, é comum sentir o peso da ansiedade. Você faz planos, tenta organizar os dias e antecipar problemas, mas percebe que muitas circunstâncias fogem totalmente do seu controle. É justamente nesses momentos que o coração precisa se lembrar de quem realmente governa a história.
As Escrituras mostram que Deus não apenas observa o mundo, mas conduz todas as coisas segundo a sua vontade. Os propósitos dele não podem ser barrados por nenhuma força humana ou contratempo. Encontre descanso para a sua alma nas verdades que Deus revelou sobre a soberania dele, sabendo que a palavra do Criador sempre cumpre aquilo para o que foi enviada.
A última palavra pertence ao Senhor. Os planos do homem estão sujeitos à soberania de Deus. Ele rege toda a história e nenhum de seus propósitos pode ser frustrado.
The plans of the heart belong to man,
but the answer of the tongue is from Yahweh.
Yahweh has made everything for its own end—
yes, even the wicked for the day of evil.
God is not a man, that he should lie,
nor a son of man, that he should repent.
Has he said, and he won’t do it?
Or has he spoken, and he won’t make it good?
Yahweh said to Moses, "Has Yahweh’s hand grown short? Now you will see whether my word will happen to you or not."
so is my word that goes out of my mouth:
it will not return to me void,
but it will accomplish that which I please,
and it will prosper in the thing I sent it to do.
"Behold, I am Yahweh, the God of all flesh. Is there anything too hard for me?
"I know that you can do all things,
and that no purpose of yours can be restrained.
Whatever Yahweh pleased, that he has done,
in heaven and in earth, in the seas and in all deeps.
He is before all things, and in him all things are held together.
Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will not pass away.
Behold, it comes, and it will be done," says the Lord Yahweh. "This is the day about which I have spoken.
Yet you don’t know what your life will be like tomorrow. For what is your life? For you are a vapor that appears for a little time and then vanishes away. For you ought to say, "If the Lord wills, we will both live, and do this or that."
