O adultério é pecado grave que destrói alianças, famílias e vidas. A Bíblia condena firmemente a infidelidade conjugal e chama à pureza, fidelidade e santidade no casamento.
A lei de Deus

Be faithful in marriage.
If any of you men have sex with another man’s wife, both you and the woman will be put to death.

You know the commandment which says, "Be faithful in marriage." But I tell you if you look at another woman and want her, you are already unfaithful in your thoughts.
But I tell you not to divorce your wife unless she has committed some terrible sexual sin. If you divorce her, you will cause her to be unfaithful, just as any man who marries her is guilty of taking another man’s wife.
Out of your heart come evil thoughts, murder, unfaithfulness in marriage, vulgar deeds, stealing, telling lies, and insulting others.
He told them, "A man who divorces his wife and marries someone else is unfaithful to his wife. A woman who divorces her husband and marries again is also unfaithful."
It is a terrible sin for a man to divorce his wife and marry another woman. It is also a terrible sin for a man to marry a divorced woman.
Then they said, "Teacher, this woman was caught sleeping with a man who isn’t her husband. The Law of Moses teaches that a woman like this should be stoned to death! What do you say?"
They asked Jesus this question, because they wanted to test him and bring some charge against him. But Jesus simply bent over and started writing on the ground with his finger.
They kept on asking Jesus about the woman. Finally, he stood up and said, "If any of you have never sinned, then go ahead and throw the first stone at her!" Once again he bent over and began writing on the ground. The people left one by one, beginning with the oldest. Finally, Jesus and the woman were there alone.
Jesus stood up and asked her, "Where is everyone? Isn’t there anyone left to accuse you?"
"No sir," the woman answered.
Then Jesus told her, "I am not going to accuse you either. You may go now, but don’t sin anymore."

The words of a bad woman
are like a deep pit;
if you make the Lord angry,
you will fall right in.
Don’t be immoral in matters of sex. That is a sin against your own body in a way no other sin is.
If you are guided by the Spirit, you won’t obey your selfish desires. The Spirit and your desires are enemies of each other. They are always fighting each other and keeping you from doing what you feel you should.
People’s desires make them give in to immoral ways, filthy thoughts, and shameful deeds. They worship idols, practice witchcraft, hate others, and are hard to get along with. People become jealous, angry, and selfish. They not only argue and cause trouble, but they are envious. They get drunk, carry on at wild parties, and do other evil things as well. I told you before, and I am telling you again: No one who does these things will share in the blessings of God’s kingdom.
Have respect for marriage. Always be faithful to your partner, because God will punish anyone who is immoral or unfaithful in marriage.
God wants you to be holy, so don’t be immoral in matters of sex. Respect and honor your wife.Don’t be a slave of your desires or live like people who don’t know God.
You people aren’t faithful to God! Don’t you know if you love the world, you are God’s enemies? And if you decide to be a friend of the world, you make yourself an enemy of God.
I gave her a chance to turn from her sins, but she did not want to stop doing these immoral things.
I am going to strike down Jezebel. Everyone who does these immoral things with her will also be punished, if they don’t stop.
