O adultério
O adultério é pecado grave que destrói alianças, famílias e vidas. A Bíblia condena firmemente a infidelidade conjugal e chama à pureza, fidelidade e santidade no casamento.
A lei de Deus
Não adulterarás. Quem comete adultério destrói a própria alma. A Palavra de Deus é clara e direta sobre este pecado.
Jesus ensina
Quem olhar para uma mulher com intenção impura já adulterou no coração. Jesus elevou o padrão da pureza.
"You have heard that it was said, ‘You shall not commit adultery.’ But I say to you that whoever looks at a woman to lust for her has already committed adultery with her in his heart.
But I say to you that whoever divorces his wife, except for a case of fornication, causes her to commit adultery, and whoever marries a divorced woman commits adultery.
Because out of the heart proceed malignant thoughts, murders, adulteries, fornications, thefts, false witness, blasphemies.
So He said to them, "Whoever divorces his wife and marries another commits adultery against her; and if a woman divorces her husband and gets married to another, she commits adultery."
"Whoever divorces his wife and marries another woman commits adultery, and whoever marries her who is divorced from her husband commits adultery.
they say to Him: "Teacher, we found this woman committing adultery, in the very act. Now in our law Moses commanded that such women are to be stoned; so what do you say?" They said this to test Him, so that they might have an accusation against Him.
But stooping down Jesus began to write on the ground with His finger, taking no notice. But since they kept on asking Him, straightening up He said to them, "Let the one without sin among you throw the first stone at her." And stooping down again He continued writing on the ground. Now upon hearing this, and being convicted by their conscience, they began to go out one by one, starting with the older ones down to the least. So only Jesus was left, with the woman in the center.
So straightening up, and not seeing anyone except the woman, Jesus said to her: "Where are those accusers of yours? Has no one condemned you?" So she said, "No one, Lord." Jesus said to her: "Neither do I condemn you. Go, and from now on don’t sin any more!"
Armadilhas e consequências
Os lábios da mulher estranha destilam mel, mas o seu fim é amargo. Fuja da imoralidade — o adultério escraviza.
Flee from fornication! Every sin that a man may commit is outside the body, but he who fornicates sins against his own body.
I say then: walk in the Spirit, and you will not fulfill the lust of the flesh. Because the flesh desires what is contrary to the Spirit, and the Spirit what is contrary to the flesh; they oppose each other; it follows that you may not do the things that you wish.
Now the works of the flesh are obvious, namely: adultery, fornication, uncleanness, licentiousness, idolatry, sorcery, hatred, strife, jealousies, fits of anger, selfish ambition, dissentions, factions, envyings, murders, drinking bouts, orgies, and the like; about which I am warning you beforehand, as, in fact, I did before, that those who practice such things will not inherit the Kingdom of God.
