Alimento
O alimento é provisão de Deus para o corpo e a alma. Jesus disse: Eu sou o pão da vida. A Bíblia ensina a receber com gratidão, partilhar com generosidade e confiar no Provedor.
O pão da vida
Jesus disse: Eu sou o pão da vida. Quem vem a mim nunca terá fome. O alimento espiritual sacia plenamente.
And Jesus said to them, "I AM the bread of life; he who is coming to Me may not hunger, and he who is believing in Me may not thirst—at any time;
do not work for the food that is perishing, but for the food that is remaining to continuous life, which the Son of Man will give to you, for the Father sealed Him—[even] God."
But He answering said, "It has been written: Man does not live on bread alone, but on every word coming forth from the mouth of God."
Blessed those hungering and thirsting for righteousness—because they will be filled.
but seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these will be added to you.
Because of this I say to you, do not be anxious for your life, what you may eat, and what you may drink, nor for your body, what you may put on. Is not life more than nourishment, and the body than clothing?
as newborn babies, desire the reasonable, unspoiled milk, so that you may grow up to salvation,
Provisão divina
Deus provê alimento em abundância. Ele multiplica pães e peixes, enche os famintos e supre toda necessidade.
and having taken the five loaves and the two fishes, having looked up to the sky, He blessed them, and broke, and was giving to the disciples to set before the multitude; and they ate, and were all filled, and there was taken up what was over to them of broken pieces, twelve baskets.
For He has satisfied a longing soul, || And has filled a hungry soul [with] goodness.
Bring in all the tithe to the treasure-house, || And there is food in My house; When you have tried Me, now, with this," said YHWH of Hosts, || "Do I not open the windows of the heavens to you? Indeed, I have emptied on you a blessing until there is no space.
and may He who is supplying seed to the sower, and bread for food, supply and multiply your seed sown, and increase the fruits of your righteousness,
A liberal soul is made fat, || And whoever is watering, he also is watered.
Sayings of pleasantness [are] a honeycomb, || Sweet to the soul, and healing to the bone.
And he says to them, "Go, eat fat things, and drink sweet things, and send portions to him for whom nothing is prepared, for today [is] holy to our Lord, and do not be grieved, for the joy of YHWH is your strength."
Gratidão e moderação
Nada trouxemos para o mundo e nada levaremos. Tudo o que fizerdes, fazei para a glória de Deus — inclusive comer e beber.
for we brought nothing into the world—because neither are we able to carry out anything; but having food and raiment—with these we will suffice ourselves;
Whether, then, you eat, or drink, or do anything, do all to the glory of God;
Also continuing daily with one accord in the temple, also breaking bread at every house, they were partaking of food in gladness and simplicity of heart, praising God, and having favor with all the people, and the LORD was adding those being saved every day to the Assembly.
behold, I have stood at the door, and I knock; if anyone may hear My voice, and may open the door, I will come in to him, and will dine with him, and he with Me.
do not let him who is eating despise him who is not eating: and do not let him who is not eating judge him who is eating, for God received him.
Let no one, then, judge you in eating or in drinking, or in respect of a celebration, or of a new moon, or of Sabbaths, which are a shadow of the coming things, but the body [is] of the Christ;
And He humbles you, and causes you to hunger, and causes you to eat the manna (which you have not known, even your fathers have not known), in order to cause you to know that man does not live by bread alone, but man lives by everything proceeding [from] the mouth of YHWH.
This you eat of all which [are] in the waters: anything that has fins and scales you eat; and anything which does not have fins and scales you do not eat—it [is] unclean to you.
And God says, "Behold, I have given to you every herb sowing seed, which [is] on the face of all the earth, and every tree in which [is] the fruit of a tree sowing seed, to you it is for food;
Every creeping thing that is alive, to you it is for food; as the green herb I have given to you the whole; only flesh in its life—its blood—you do not eat.
I have not eaten desirable bread, and no flesh and wine came into my mouth, and I have not anointed myself at all, until the completion of three weeks of days.
