Alimento
O alimento é provisão de Deus para o corpo e a alma. Jesus disse: Eu sou o pão da vida. A Bíblia ensina a receber com gratidão, partilhar com generosidade e confiar no Provedor.
O pão da vida
Jesus disse: Eu sou o pão da vida. Quem vem a mim nunca terá fome. O alimento espiritual sacia plenamente.
Provisão divina
Deus provê alimento em abundância. Ele multiplica pães e peixes, enche os famintos e supre toda necessidade.
Gilead is mine; and Manasseh is mine;
And Ephraim is the help of my head;
Judah is my king;
The year is completed, and ye have brought all the produce into the storehouses; but there shall be the plunder thereof in its house: return now on this behalf, saith the Lord Almighty, see if I will not open to you the torrents of heaven, and pour out my blessing upon you, until ye are satisfied.
Every sincere soul is blessed:
But a passionate man is not graceful.
Good words are honeycombs,
And the sweetness thereof is a healing of the soul.
Gratidão e moderação
Nada trouxemos para o mundo e nada levaremos. Tudo o que fizerdes, fazei para a glória de Deus — inclusive comer e beber.
And he afflicted thee and straitened thee with hunger, and fed thee with manna, which thy fathers knew not; that he might teach thee that man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God shall man live.
And these ye shall eat of all that are in the water, ye shall eat all that have fins and scales. And all that have not fins and scales ye shall not eat; they are unclean to you.
And God said, Behold I have given to you every seed-bearing herb sowing seed which is upon all the earth, and every tree which has in itself the fruit of seed that is sown, to you it shall be for food.
And every reptile which is living shall be to you for meat, I have given all things to you as the green herbs. But flesh with blood of life ye shall not eat.
