Amigo
O amigo verdadeiro é dádiva rara de Deus. Ele ama em todo tempo, fala a verdade em amor, aconselha com sabedoria e permanece fiel nas adversidades da vida.
Amizade verdadeira
Há amigo mais chegado que um irmão. Em todo tempo ama o amigo. O perfume e o incenso alegram o coração — assim o conselho doce do amigo.
Jesus, o amigo
Já não vos chamo servos, mas amigos. O maior amor é dar a vida pelo amigo. Jesus é o amigo que nunca falha.
13 No man has greater love than this, to lay down his life for his friends.14 You are my friends, if you do whatever I command you.15 Henceforth I call you not servants; for the servant knows not what his master will do: but I name you friends; for whatever I have learned from my Father, I impart to you.
12 This is my commandment, that you love one another, as I love you.13 No man has greater love than this, to lay down his life for his friends.
11 Beloved, if God so loved us, we, also, ought to love one another.12 No one has seen God, at any time. If we love one another, God abides in us, and his love is made perfect in us.
16 By this we have known the love of Christ, because he laid down his life for us; therefore we ought to lay down our lives for the brethren.17 Whoever, therefore, has the goods of this world, and sees his brother in need, and yet shuts up his compassion from him, how abides the love of God in him?18 My little children, let us not love in word, nor in tongue; but in deed, and in truth.
23 «And so that scripture was fulfilled, which says,» 'Abraham believed God, and it was counted to him for righteousness; and he was called the friend of God.'
10 In brotherly love, be tenderly affectionate to one another-in honor, prefer one another.
