O que define o verdadeiro amigo em Provérbios

O livro de Provérbios concentra os ensinamentos mais diretos sobre relacionamentos. O amigo bíblico não é aquele que apenas celebra nos dias bons, mas quem permanece e oferece apoio firme no momento da crise.

17 A friend loves at all times,

And a brother is born for adversity.(Proverbs 17:17)

24 A person of too many friends comes to ruin,

But there is a friend who sticks closer than a brother.(Proverbs 18:24)

A verdadeira amizade também envolve a disposição de confrontar com amor para o crescimento do outro, em vez de bajular falsamente.

5 Better is open rebuke

Than love that is concealed.

6 Faithful are the wounds of a friend,

A devoção de Rute por sua sogra Noemi ilustra a lealdade incondicional mesmo diante da viuvez e do desamparo.

14 "For the despairing man there should be kindness from his friend;

A força da caminhada compartilhada
