Amor ao próximo
O amor ao próximo não é opcional — é mandamento. Amarás o teu próximo como a ti mesmo. A lei inteira se cumpre nesta palavra. O amor ao próximo é prova do amor a Deus.
You heard that it was said: You will love your neighbor, and will hate your enemy; but I say to you, love your enemies, bless those cursing you, do good to those hating you, and pray for those accusing you falsely, and persecuting you,
This is My command, that you love one another, according as I loved you;
To no one owe anything, except to love one another; for he who is loving the other—he has fulfilled law,
for let each one of us please the neighbor for good, for edification,
let all your things be done in love.
and the LORD cause you to increase and to abound in the love to one another, and to all, even as we also to you,
Let brotherly love remain. Do not be forgetful of hospitality, for through this some entertained messengers unaware. Be mindful of those in bonds, as having been bound with them, of those maltreated, as yourselves also being in the body.
If, indeed, you fulfill royal law, according to the Writing: "You will love your neighbor as yourself," you do well;
Before all things, having earnest love among yourselves, because love covers a multitude of sins;
Put on, therefore, as chosen ones of God, holy and beloved, yearnings of mercies, kindness, humble-mindedness, meekness, long-suffering, bearing with one another, and forgiving each other, if anyone may have a quarrel with anyone, as the Christ also forgave you—so also you; and above all these things, [have] love, which is a bond of the perfection, and let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to which you were also called in one body, and become thankful.
because this is the message that you heard from the beginning, that we may love one another,
Everyone who is hating his brother is a manslayer, and you have known that no manslayer has continuous life remaining in him; in this we have known love, because He laid down His life for us, and we ought to lay down [our] lives for the brothers;
in this we have known love, because He laid down His life for us, and we ought to lay down [our] lives for the brothers;
Beloved, may we love one another, because love is of God, and everyone loving has been begotten of God, and knows God; he who is not loving did not know God, because God is love.
