Amor de casal
O amor de casal é celebrado na Bíblia como dom sagrado. O Cântico dos Cânticos exalta a beleza do amor conjugal — íntimo, exclusivo e forte como a morte.
Set me as a seal on your heart, as a seal on your arm, || For strong as death is love, || Sharp as Sheol is jealousy, || Its burnings [are] burnings of fire, a flame of YAH! Many waters are not able to quench the love, || And floods do not wash it away. If one gives all the wealth of his house for love, || Treading down—they tread on it.
You have emboldened me, my sister-spouse, || Emboldened me with one of your eyes, || With one chain of your neck.
Let him kiss me with kisses of his mouth, || For better [are] your loves than wine. For fragrance [are] your good perfumes. Perfume emptied out—your name, || Therefore have virgins loved you!
Behold, you [are] beautiful, my friend, || Behold, you [are] beautiful, your eyes [are] doves! Behold, you [are] beautiful, my love, indeed, pleasant, || Indeed, our bed [is] green,
And YHWH God says, "[It is] not good for the man to be alone; I make him a helper as his counterpart."
And YHWH God builds up the rib which He has taken out of the man into a woman, and brings her to the man; and the man says, "This at last! Bone of my bone, and flesh of my flesh!" For this is called Woman, for this has been taken from Man; therefore a man leaves his father and his mother, and has cleaved to his wife, and they have become one flesh.
[Whoever] has found a wife has found good, || And brings out goodwill from YHWH.
Let your fountain be blessed, || And rejoice because of the wife of your youth, A doe of loves, and a roe of grace! Let her loves satisfy you at all times, || Magnify yourself in her love continually. And why do you magnify yourself, || My son, with a stranger? And embrace the bosom of a strange woman?
So that they are no longer two, but one flesh; what therefore God joined together, let no man separate."
Love is long-suffering, it is kind, love does not envy, love does not vaunt itself, is not puffed up, does not act unseemly, does not seek its own things, is not provoked, does not impute evil, [does] not rejoice over unrighteousness, and rejoices with the truth; it bears all things, it believes all, it hopes all, it endures all.
so ought the husbands to love their own wives as their own bodies: he who is loving his own wife—he loves himself; for no one ever hated his own flesh, but nourishes and nurtures it, as also the LORD—the Assembly,
but you also, everyone in particular—let each so love his own wife as himself, and the wife—that she may revere the husband.
and above all these things, [have] love, which is a bond of the perfection,
The two [are] better than the one, in that they have a good reward by their labor. For if they fall, the one raises up his companion, but woe to the one who falls and there is not a second to raise him up! Also, if two lie down, then they have heat, but how has one heat? And if the one strengthens himself, the two stand against him; and the threefold cord is not quickly broken.
And He did not make one [only], || And a remnant of the Spirit [is] for him. And what [is] the one [alone]! He is seeking a godly seed. And you have been watchful over your spirit, || And with the wife of your youth, || None deal treacherously.
When a man takes a new wife, he does not go out into the host, and [one] does not pass over to him for anything; he is free at his own house [for] one year, and his wife, whom he has taken, he has made glad.
