16 For God loved*the world in this way:*He gave*his one and only*Son,*so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life.*

8 But God proves  * his own love for us  * in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.

38 For I am persuaded that neither death nor life,  * nor angels nor rulers,  * nor things present nor things to come,  * nor powers, 39 nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing will be able to separate us from the love of God  * that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.  *

3 the Lord appeared to him  * from far away.

I have loved you with an everlasting love;  *

therefore, I have continued to extend faithful love to you.  *

1 Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good.  *

His faithful love endures forever.

8 The Lord is compassionate and gracious,

slow to anger and abounding in faithful love.  *

15 But you, Lord, are a compassionate and gracious God,

slow to anger and abounding in faithful love and truth.  *

3 My lips will glorify you

because your faithful love is better than life.  *

7 Dear friends, let us love one another, because love is from God, and everyone who loves has been born of God  * and knows God. 8 The one who does not love does not know God, because God is love.

9 God’s love was revealed among us  * in this way: God sent  * his one and only Son  * into the world so that we might live  * through him. 10 Love consists in this: not that we loved God, but that he loved us  * and sent his Son to be the atoning sacrifice  *,* for our sins. 11 Dear friends, if God loved us in this way, we also must love one another.  *

16 And we have come to know and to believe the love that God has for us.

God is love, and the one who remains in love remains in God, and God remains in him.

19 We love  * because he first loved us.  *

1 See what great love  * the Father has given us that we should be called God’s children — and we are! The reason the world does not know us is that it didn’t know him.

7 Dear friends, I am not writing you a new command  * but an old command that you have had from the beginning. The old command is the word  * you have heard. 8 Yet I am writing you a new command, which is true in him and in you, because the darkness is passing away  * and the true light  * is already shining.  *

3 For this is what love for God is: to keep his commands. And his commands are not a burden,  *

4 Love is patient,  * love is kind. Love does not envy,  * is not boastful, is not arrogant,  *

17 The Lord your God is among you,

a warrior  * who saves.

He will rejoice over you  * with gladness.

He will be quiet  * in his love.

He will delight in you with singing."  *

17 I love those who love me,  *

and those who search for me find me.  *

4 Because you are precious in my sight  *

and honored, and I love you,  *

I will give people in exchange for you

and nations instead of your life.

9 God, within your temple,

we contemplate your faithful love.  *

10 Spread your faithful love over those who know you,

and your righteousness over the upright in heart.  *

20 I have been crucified with Christ, and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me.  * The life I now live in the body,  * I live by faith in the Son of God,  * who loved  * me  * and gave himself  * for me.  *

4 But God, who is rich in mercy,  * because of his great love  * that he had for us,  *5 made us alive  * with Christ even though we were dead  * in trespasses. You are saved by grace!

5 May the Lord direct your hearts to God’s love and Christ’s endurance.  *
