O amor de Deus: o que é e como ele se manifesta na Bíblia

O amor de Deus não é um sentimento passageiro nem depende do merecimento humano: na Bíblia, ele é a própria essência do Criador e o seu compromisso fiel com a criação. A expressão máxima desse amor não foi uma declaração teórica, mas um ato concreto na história — a vinda e o sacrifício de Jesus Cristo pela humanidade.

Nas Escrituras, esse amor se manifesta tanto na lealdade constante da aliança no Antigo Testamento (frequentemente chamada em hebraico de hesed, a misericórdia que não desiste) quanto na entrega sacrificial retratada no Novo Testamento.

O amor demonstrado na prática

Na teologia bíblica, o amor de Deus se mede pelo que Ele deu. Jesus não esperou que a humanidade se corrigisse para vir ao mundo; o amor divino tomou a iniciativa quando não havia mérito algum a ser apresentado.

For God-The Father so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.(John 3:16)

But God-The Father commends his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Moshiach [Messiah] died for us.(Romans 5:8)

I am crucified with Moshiach [Messiah]: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Moshiach [Messiah] lives in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God-The Father, who loved me, and gave himself for me.(Galatians 2:20)

But God-The Father, who is rich in mercy, for his great love which he loved us,

Even when we were dead in sins, has quickened us together with Moshiach [Messiah], (by grace you2f are saved;)(Ephesians 2:4,5)

Deus é amor: a essência do caráter divino

As cartas do apóstolo João destacam que o amor não é apenas uma atividade ocasional de Deus, mas quem Ele é. O conhecimento real de Deus se reflete diretamente na forma como as pessoas tratam umas às outras e obedecem aos seus ensinamentos.

Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God-The Father; and every one that loves is born of God-The Father, and knows God-The Father.

He that loves not knows not God-The Father; for God-The Father is love.(1 John 4:7,8)

In this was manifested the love of God-The Father toward us, because that God-The Father sent his only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through him.

Herein is love, not that we loved God-The Father, but that he loved us, and sent his Son [to be] the Propitiation (sacrifice to pay for sins against God, to satisfy His righteous anger) for our sins.

Beloved, if God-The Father so loved us, we ought also to love one another.(1 John 4:9-11)

And we have known and believed the love that God-The Father has to us. God-The Father is love; and he that dwells in love dwells in God-The Father, and God-The Father in him.(1 John 4:16)

Behold, what manner of love the Father has bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God-The Father: therefore the world knows us not, because it knew him not.(1 John 3:1)

Brethren, I write no new commandment unto you, but an old commandment which you2f had from the beginning. The old commandment is the word which you2f have heard from the beginning.

Again, a new commandment I write unto you, which thing is true in him and in you: because the darkness is past, and the true light now shines.(1 John 2:7,8)

For this is the love of God-The Father, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grievous.(1 John 5:3)

Charity suffers long, [and] is kind; charity envies not; charity vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up,(1 Corinthians 13:4)

A misericórdia e a fidelidade que não se apagam

O Antigo Testamento revela um Deus paciente, cheio de compaixão e tardio em irar-se. Mesmo diante da constante infidelidade humana, o vínculo que o Senhor estabelece com o seu povo permanece ancorado na sua própria graça.

The LORD-Yehōvah (Messiah Pre-Incarnate) has appeared of old unto me, [saying], Yes, I have loved youi with an everlasting love: therefore with lovingkindness have I drawn youi.(Jeremiah 31:3)

The LORD-Yehōvah [Messiah Pre-Incarnate] [is] merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and plenteous in mercy.(Tehillim - Psalms 103:8)

But youi, O Lord-Adonai [Greatest Above All Things], [are] a God-El [a God] full of compassion, and gracious, longsuffering, and plenteous in mercy and truth.(Tehillim - Psalms 86:15)

O give thanks unto the LORD-Yehōvah [Messiah Pre-Incarnate]; for [he is] good: for his mercy [endures] forever.(Tehillim - Psalms 136:1)

Since youi were precious in my sight, youi have been honourable, and I have loved youi: therefore will I give men for youi, and people for youri life.(Isaiah 43:4)

The LORD-Yehōvah (Messiah Pre-Incarnate) youi God-Elōhīm (The Living Word) [The Many Powered] in the midst of youi [is] mighty; he will save, he will rejoice over youi with joy; he will rest in his love, he will joy over youi with singing.(Zephaniah 3:17)

We have thought of youri lovingkindness, O God-Elōhīm (The Living Word) [The Many Powered], in the midst of youri temple.(Tehillim - Psalms 48:9)

O continue youri lovingkindness unto them that know youi; and youri righteousness to the upright in heart.(Tehillim - Psalms 36:10)

A certeza de que nada pode separar você desse amor

A segurança do cristão não repousa na força das próprias emoções, mas na solidez do amor de Deus. Não há circunstância, dor, presente ou futuro capaz de quebrar o elo formado por Cristo Jesus.

For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor Principalities (rulers or their territory), nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come,

Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God-The Father, which is in Moshiach [Messiah] Yeshua [God is Salvation] our Lord - Kurios.(Romans 8:38,39)

And the Lord - Kurios direct your hearts into the love of God-The Father, and into the patient waiting for Moshiach [Messiah].(2 Thessalonians 3:5)

The grace of the Lord - Kurios [he to whom a person belongs] Yeshua [God is Salvation] Moshiach [Messiah], and the love of God-The Father, and the communion of the Holy Spirit [Ruach HaKodesh], [be] with you all. Amen. <The second [Epistle (important or formal letter)] to the Corinthians [satiated] was written from Philippi [lover of horses], [a city] of Macedonia [extended land], by Titus [nurse] and Lucas [light-giving].>(2 Corinthians 13:14)
