34 A new commandment I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you also must love one another. 35 By this everyone will know that you are My disciples, if you love one another."

12 This is My commandment, that you love one another as I have loved you.

13 Greater love has no one than this, that he lay down his life for his friends.

11 This is the message you have heard from the beginning: We should love one another.

14 We know that we have passed from death to life, because we love our brothers. The one who does not love remains in death.

16 By this we know what love is: Jesus laid down His life for us, and we ought to lay down our lives for our brothers. 17 If anyone with earthly possessions sees his brother in need, but withholds his compassion from him, how can the love of God abide in him?

18 Little children, let us love not in word and speech, but in action and truth.

7 Beloved, let us love one another, because love comes from God. Everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God.

10 And love consists in this: not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son as the atoning sacrifice* for our sins.

11 Beloved, if God so loved us, we also ought to love one another. 12 No one has ever seen God; but if we love one another, God remains in us, and His love is perfected in us.

20 If anyone says, "I love God," but hates his brother, he is a liar. For anyone who does not love his brother, whom he has seen, cannot love God, whom he has not seen. 21 And we have this commandment from Him: Whoever loves God must love his brother as well.

10 Be devoted to one another in brotherly love. Outdo yourselves in honoring one another.

8 Be indebted to no one, except to one another in love. For he who loves his neighbor has fulfilled the law.

8 Finally, all of you, be like-minded and sympathetic, love as brothers, be tenderhearted and humble.

8 Above all, love one another deeply, because love covers over a multitude of sins.*

9 Now about brotherly love, you do not need anyone to write to you, because you yourselves have been taught by God to love one another.

1 Continue in brotherly love. 2 Do not neglect to show hospitality to strangers, for by so doing some people have entertained angels without knowing it. 3 Remember those in prison as if you were bound with them, and those who are mistreated as if you were suffering with them.

14 And over all these virtues put on love, which is the bond of perfect unity.

37 Jesus declared, "‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’* 38 This is the first and greatest commandment. 39 And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’*

8 If you really fulfill the royal law stated in Scripture, "Love your neighbor as yourself,"* you are doing well.
