34 I am giving you a new commandment, that you love one another; just as I have loved you, that you also love one another.35 By this all people will know that you are My disciples: if you have love for one another."

12 "This is My commandment, that you love one another, just as I have loved you.

13 Greater love has no one than this, that a person will lay down his life for his friends.

11 For this is the message which you have heard from the beginning, that we are to love one another;

14 We know that we have passed out of death into life, because we love the brothers and sisters. The one who does not love remains in death.

16 We know love by this, that He laid down His life for us; and we ought to lay down our lives for the brothers and sisters.17 But whoever has worldly goods and sees his brother or sister in need, and closes his *heart *against him, how does the love of God remain in him? 18 Little children, let’s not love with word or with tongue, but in deed and truth.

7 Beloved, let’s love one another; for love is from God, and everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God.

10 In this is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son to be the *propitiation for our sins. 11 Beloved, if God so loved us, we also ought to love one another. 12 No one has ever seen God; if we love one another, God remains in us, and His love is perfected in us.

20 If someone says, "I love God," and yet he hates his brother or sister, he is a liar; for the one who does not love his brother and sister whom he has seen, cannot love God, whom he has not seen. 21 And this commandment we have from Him, that the one who loves God must also love his brother and sister.

10 Be devoted to one another in brotherly love; *give preference to one another in honor,

8 Owe nothing to anyone except to love one another; for the one who loves *his neighbor has fulfilled the Law.

8 *To sum up, all of you be harmonious, sympathetic, *loving, compassionate, and humble;

8 Above all, keep fervent in your love for one another, because love covers a multitude of sins.

9 Now as to the love of the brothers and sisters, you have no need for anyone to write to you, for you yourselves are taught by God to love one another;

1 Let love of the brothers and sisters continue. 2 Do not neglect hospitality to strangers, for by this some have entertained angels without knowing it. 3 Remember the prisoners, as though in prison with them, and those who are badly treated, since you yourselves also are in the body.

14 In addition to all these things put on love, which is *the perfect bond of unity.

37 And He said to him, " ‘You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind.’38 This is the great and *foremost commandment.39 The second is like it, ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’

8 If, however, you are fulfilling the *royal law according to the Scripture, "You shall love your neighbor as yourself," you are doing well.
