14 I will give thanks to You, because *I am awesomely and wonderfully made;

Wonderful are Your works,

And my soul knows it very well.

17 How precious also are Your thoughts for me, God!

How vast is the sum of them!

18 Were I to count them, they would outnumber the sand.

When I awake, I am still with You.

3 When I *consider Your heavens, the work of Your fingers,

The moon and the stars, which You have set in place;

4 What is man that You think of him,

And a son of man that You are concerned about him?

5 Yet You have made him a little lower than *God,

And You crown him with glory and majesty!

7 He raises the poor from the dust,

He lifts the needy from the garbage heap,

8 To seat them with noblemen,

With the noblemen of His people.

7 But the Lord said to Samuel, "Do not look at his appearance or at the height of his stature, because I have rejected him; for *God does not see as man sees, since man looks at *the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart."

9 But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people forGod’s own possession, so that you may proclaim the excellencies of Him who has called you out of darkness into His marvelous light;

6 Are five sparrows not sold for two *assaria? And yet not one of them has gone unnoticed in the sight of God.7 But even the hairs of your head are all counted. *Do not fear; you are more valuable than a great number of sparrows.

3 For through the grace given to me I say to everyone among you not to think more highly of himself than he ought to think; but to think so as to have sound judgment, as God has allotted to each a measure of faith.
