He is good to us,
and his love never fails.
This day belongs to the Lord!
Let’s celebrate
and be glad today.
Honor the Lord
I will always praise the Lord.
You are my strong shield,
and I trust you completely.
You have helped me,
and I will celebrate
and thank you in song.
You brought me more happiness
than a rich harvest
of grain and grapes.
You have shown me
the path to life,
and you make me glad
by being near to me.
Sitting at your right side,
I will always be joyful.
I ask only one thing, Lord:
Let me live in your house
every day of my life
to see how wonderful you are
and to pray in your temple.
Teach us to use wisely
all the time we have.
Gray hair is a glorious crown
worn by those
who have lived right.
Young people take pride
in their strength,
but the gray hairs of wisdom
are even more beautiful.
But those who trust the Lord
will find new strength.
They will be strong like eagles
soaring upward on wings;
they will walk and run
without getting tired.
Joshua, it was 45 years ago that the Lord told Moses to make that promise, and now I am 85. Even though Israel has moved from place to place in the desert, the Lord has kept me alive all this time as he said he would. I’m just as strong today as I was then, and I can still fight as well in battle.
I pray that the Lord
will bless and protect you,
and that he will show you mercy
and kindness.
May the Lord be good to you
and give you peace."
