You have shown me the path of life, filling me with joy with your presence and the delight of living with you forever.
I only ask the Lord for one thing: I just want to live in the house of the Lord throughout my life, contemplating the Lord’s goodness and thinking about his Temple.
Teach us to value every one of our days so we can live wisely!
Gray hair is a glorious crown; it’s achieved by living right.
Young men value their strength, but the old value even more the wisdom that comes with gray hair.
But those who trust in the Lord will have their strength renewed. They will fly high with wings like eagles. They will run and not be tired. They will walk and not be worn out.
Look—the Lord has kept me alive these past forty-five years as he promised, from the time the Lord told Moses this while Israel was wandering in the wilderness. Now I’m eighty-five, but I’m still as strong today as when Moses sent me out. I’m as strong and ready for battle or for whatever may come as I was then.
‘May the Lord bless you and take care of you. May the Lord smile on you and be gracious to you. May the Lord watch over you and give you peace.’
My friend, I pray most of all that you’re doing well and are in good physical health, for I know you’re doing well spiritually.
