20 But after he had considered these things, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream, saying, "Joseph, son of David, don’t be afraid to take Mary as your wife, because what has been conceived in her is from the Holy Spirit.  *

5 The angel told the women, "Don’t be afraid, because I know you are looking for Jesus who was crucified.  *6 He is not here. For he has risen, just as he said. Come and see the place where he lay.  *

53 Or do you think that I cannot call on my Father, and he will provide me here and now with more than twelve legions of angels?*

30 Then the angel told her, "Do not be afraid, Mary,  * for you have found favor with God.  *31 Now listen: You will conceive and give birth to a son, and you will name him Jesus.  *

10 But the angel said to them, "Don’t be afraid,  * for look, I proclaim to you good news of great joy that will be for all the people:  *

14 Glory to God in the highest heaven,  *

and peace on earth  * to people he favors!  *,*,*

10 I tell you, in the same way, there is joy in the presence of God’s angels*over one sinner who repents."

10 While he was going, they were gazing into heaven, and suddenly two men in white clothes stood by them.  *11 They said, "Men of Galilee, why do you stand looking up into heaven? This same Jesus, who has been taken from you into heaven, will come in the same way that you have seen him going into heaven."  *

1 Let brotherly love  * continue. 2 Don’t neglect to show hospitality, for by doing this some have welcomed angels as guests without knowing it.  *

1 If I speak human or angelic tongues  * but do not have love,  * I am a noisy gong  * or a clanging cymbal.

16 And most certainly, the mystery of godliness  * is great:

He  * was manifested in the flesh,  *

vindicated in the Spirit,  *

seen by angels,

preached among the nations,

believed  * on in the world,

taken up in glory.  *

16 For the Lord himself will descend from heaven with a shout,  *,* with the archangel’s  * voice, and with the trumpet of God, and the dead in Christ  * will rise first. 17 Then  * we who are still alive, who are left, will be caught up together with them in the clouds  * to meet the Lord in the air, and so we will always be with the Lord.

5 "In the same way, the one who conquers*will be dressed in white clothes,*and I will never erase his name from the book of life*but will acknowledge his name before my Father and before his angels.*

38 For I am persuaded that neither death nor life,  * nor angels nor rulers,  * nor things present nor things to come,  * nor powers, 39 nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing will be able to separate us from the love of God  * that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.  *
