20 While he was thinking about this, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream and said, "Joseph, descendant of David, do not be afraid to take Mary to be your wife. For it is by the Holy Spirit that she has conceived.

5 The angel spoke to the women. "You must not be afraid," he said. "I know you are looking for Jesus, who was crucified. 6 He is not here; he has been raised, just as he said. Come here and see the place where he was lying.

53 Don’t you know that I could call on my Father for help, and at once he would send me more than twelve armies of angels?

30 The angel said to her, "Don’t be afraid, Mary; God has been gracious to you. 31 *You will become pregnant and give birth to a son, and you will name him Jesus.

10 but the angel said to them, "Don’t be afraid! I am here with good news for you, which will bring great joy to all the people.

14 "Glory to God in the highest heaven,

and peace on earth to those with whom he is pleased!"

10 In the same way, I tell you, the angels of God rejoice over one sinner who repents."

10 They still had their eyes fixed on the sky as he went away, when two men dressed in white suddenly stood beside them 11 and said, "Galileans, why are you standing there looking up at the sky? This Jesus, who was taken from you into heaven, will come back in the same way that you saw him go to heaven."

1 Keep on loving one another as Christians. 2 *Remember to welcome strangers in your homes. There were some who did that and welcomed angels without knowing it.

1 I may be able to speak the languages of human beings and even of angels, but if I have no love, my speech is no more than a noisy gong or a clanging bell.

16 No one can deny how great is the secret of our religion:

He appeared in human form,

was shown to be right by the Spirit,*

and was seen by angels.

He was preached among the nations,

was believed in throughout the world,

and was taken up to heaven.

16 *There will be the shout of command, the archangel’s voice, the sound of God’s trumpet, and the Lord himself will come down from heaven. Those who have died believing in Christ will rise to life first; 17 then we who are living at that time will be gathered up along with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so we will always be with the Lord.

5 *Those who win the victory will be clothed like this in white, and I will not remove their names from the book of the living. In the presence of my Father and of his angels I will declare openly that they belong to me.

38 For I am certain that nothing can separate us from his love: neither death nor life, neither angels nor other heavenly rulers or powers, neither the present nor the future, 39 neither the world above nor the world below—there is nothing in all creation that will ever be able to separate us from the love of God which is ours through Christ Jesus our Lord.
