7 By faith Noah, when he was warned about things not yet seen, was moved with reverent fear and built an ark to save his household. By faith he condemned the world and became an heir of the righteousness that comes by faith.

20 who disobeyed long ago when God *waited patiently in the days of Noah, while the ark was being prepared, in which a few, that is, eight people, were saved through water. 21 Baptism, which corresponds to this, now saves *us—not by removing dirt from the body, but as an appeal to God for a clear conscience—through the resurrection of Jesus Christ, 22 who has gone into heaven and is at the right hand of God, with angels, authorities, and powers subject to him.

37 *As were the days of Noah, so will be the coming of the Son of Man. 38 For in *the days before the flood, people were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day when Noah went into the ark. 39 They knew nothing about what would happen until the flood came and took them all away. So will it be at the coming of the Son of Man. 40 Two men will be in the field; one will be taken and one will be left. 41 Two women will be grinding grain at the mill; one will be taken and one will be left.
