9 After He had said this, they watched as He was taken up, and a cloud hid Him from their sight.

10 They were looking intently into the sky as He was going, when suddenly two men dressed in white stood beside them. 11 "Men of Galilee," they said, "why do you stand here looking into the sky? This same Jesus, who has been taken from you into heaven, will come back in the same way you have seen Him go into heaven."

19 After the Lord Jesus* had spoken to them, He was taken up into heaven and sat down at the right hand of God.

50 When Jesus had led them out as far as Bethany, He lifted up His hands and blessed them. 51 While He was blessing them, He left them and was carried up into heaven.

2 In My Father’s house are many rooms. If it were not so, would I have told you that I am going there to prepare a place for you?*

12 Truly, truly, I tell you, whoever believes in Me will also do the works that I am doing. He will do even greater things than these, because I am going to the Father.

28 I came from the Father and entered the world. In turn, I will leave the world and go to the Father."

17 "Do not cling to Me," Jesus said, "for I have not yet ascended to the Father. But go and tell My brothers, ‘I am ascending to My Father and your Father, to My God and your God.’"

33 So Jesus said, "I am with you only a little while longer, and then I am going to the One who sent Me.

16 By common confession, the mystery of godliness is great:

He appeared* in the flesh,

was vindicated by the Spirit,*

was seen by angels,

was proclaimed among the nations,

was believed in throughout the world,

was taken up in glory.
