9 *After Jesus had said this and while they were watching, he was taken up into a cloud. They could not see him,

10 but as he went up, they kept looking up into the sky.

Suddenly two men dressed in white clothes were standing there beside them. 11 They said, "Why are you men from Galilee standing here and looking up into the sky? Jesus has been taken to heaven. But he will come back in the same way you have seen him go."

19 *After the Lord Jesus had said these things to the disciples, he was taken back up to heaven where he sat down at the right side* of God.

50 *Jesus led his disciples out to Bethany, where he raised his hands and blessed them. 51 As he was doing this, he left and was taken up to heaven.*

2 There are many rooms in my Father’s house. I wouldn’t tell you this, unless it was true. I am going there to prepare a place for each of you.

12 I tell you for certain that if you have faith in me, you will do the same things I am doing. You will do even greater things, now that I am going back to the Father.

28 I came from the Father into the world, but I am leaving the world and returning to the Father.

17 Jesus told her, "Don’t hold on to me! I have not yet gone to the Father. But tell my disciples I am going to the one who is my Father and my God, as well as your Father and your God."

33 But Jesus told them, "I will be with you a little while longer, and then I will return to the one who sent me.

16 Here is the great mystery of our religion:

Christ* came as a human.

The Spirit proved

that he pleased God,

and he was seen by angels.

Christ was preached

to the nations.

People in this world

put their faith in him,

and he was taken up to glory.
