The Ascension of Jesus
Now after He said these things, while they were beholding Him, He was lifted up, and a cloud withdrew Him from their sight.
And while they looked intently into heaven, while He was going, behold, two men stood along side them in white apparel, who also said, "Men of Galilee, why do you stand looking up into heaven? This same Jesus, who was taken up from you into heaven, will so come in like manner as you watched Him go into heaven."
The Ascension of Jesus
So then, after the Lord had spoken to them, He was taken up into heaven, and sat down at the right hand of God.
Jesus Taken up to Heaven
And He led them out as far as Bethany, and lifting up His hands, He blessed them. And it happened, while He blessed them, that He was parted from them and was carried up into heaven.
In My Father’s house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.
"Most assuredly I say to you, he that believes in Me, the works which I do he will do also; and greater works than these he will do, because I go to My Father.
I came forth from the Father and I have come into the world. Again, I am leaving the world and I am going to the Father."
Jesus said to her, "Do not cling to Me, for I have not yet ascended to My Father; but go to My brothers and say to them, ‘I am ascending to My Father and your Father, and to My God and your God.’ "
Then Jesus said, "Yet a little while am I with you, and then I go to Him who sent Me.
And confessedly, great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifested in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen by angels, proclaimed among the Gentiles, believed on in the world, and was received up in glory.
