Batismo
O batismo é mandamento de Jesus e proclamação pública de fé. É símbolo de morte para o pecado, sepultamento com Cristo e ressurreição para uma vida nova no Espírito.
O mandamento de Jesus
Ide e fazei discípulos, batizando-os em nome do Pai, do Filho e do Espírito Santo. O batismo é porta de entrada na comunidade cristã.
having gone, then, disciple all the nations, immersing them into the Name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all, whatever I commanded you, and behold, I am with you all the days—until the full end of the age."
And having come near, Jesus spoke to them, saying, "All authority in Heaven and on earth was given to Me; having gone, then, disciple all the nations, immersing them into the Name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all, whatever I commanded you, and behold, I am with you all the days—until the full end of the age."
Then Jesus comes from Galilee to John at the Jordan, to be immersed by him,
he who has believed and has been immersed will be saved; and he who has not believed will be condemned.
and He said to them, "Having gone into all the world, proclaim the good news to all the creation; he who has believed and has been immersed will be saved; and he who has not believed will be condemned.
And it came to pass in those days, Jesus came from Nazareth of Galilee, and was immersed by John in the Jordan; and immediately coming up from the water, He saw the heavens dividing, and the Spirit coming down on Him as a dove;

Fomos sepultados com Cristo pelo batismo na morte para que andemos em novidade de vida. O batismo é renascimento pelo Espírito.
Are you ignorant that we, as many as were immersed into Christ Jesus, were immersed into His death? We were buried together, then, with Him through the immersion into death, that even as Christ was raised up out of the dead through the glory of the Father, so we also might walk in newness of life.

Then Peter answered, "Is anyone able to forbid the water, that these may not be immersed, who received the Holy Spirit—even as us also?" He commanded them to also be immersed in the Name of the LORD; then they implored him to remain certain days.

And they having prayed, the place was shaken in which they were gathered together, and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit, and were speaking the word of God with freedom,
And it came to pass, in all the people being immersed, Jesus also being immersed, and praying, Heaven was opened, and the Holy Spirit came down in a bodily appearance, as if a dove, on Him, and a voice came out of Heaven, saying, "You are My Son, the Beloved, in You I delighted."
If, then, you, being evil, have known to be giving good gifts to your children, how much more will the Father who is from Heaven give the Holy Spirit to those asking Him!"
