30 Charm is deceptive and beauty is fleeting,

but a woman who fears the LORD is to be praised.

3 Your beauty should not come from outward adornment, such as braided hair or gold jewelry or fine clothes, 4 but from the inner disposition of your heart, the unfading beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is precious in God’s sight.

7 But the LORD said to Samuel, "Do not consider his appearance or height, for I have rejected him; the LORD does not see as man does. For man sees the outward appearance, but the LORD sees the heart."

9 Likewise, I want the women to adorn themselves with respectable apparel, with modesty, and with self-control, not with braided hair or gold or pearls or expensive clothes, 10 but with good deeds, as is proper for women who profess to worship God.

13 For You formed my inmost being;*

You knit me together in my mother’s womb.

14 I praise You,

for I am fearfully and wonderfully made.

Marvelous are Your works,

and I know this very well.

7 You are altogether beautiful, my darling;

in you there is no flaw.

27 So God created man in His own image;

in the image of God He created him;

male and female He created them.*

10 For we are God’s workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance as our way of life.*

1 Arise, shine, for your light has come,

and the glory of the LORD rises upon you.

8 The grass withers and the flowers fall,

but the word of our God stands forever."*

16 Therefore we do not lose heart. Though our outer self is wasting away, yet our inner self is being renewed day by day.

25 Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothes?
