A verdadeira beleza vem de dentro. A Bíblia ensina que o encanto é enganoso e a formosura é vã, mas a mulher que teme ao Senhor — essa sim merece louvor.
Charm is deceptive and beauty disappears, but a woman who honors the Lord should be praised.
You should not use outward aids to make yourselves beautiful, such as the way you fix your hair, or the jewelry you put on, or the dresses you wear. Instead, your beauty should consist of your true inner self, the ageless beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is of the greatest value in God’s sight.
But the Lord said to him, "Pay no attention to how tall and handsome he is. I have rejected him, because I do not judge as people judge. They look at the outward appearance, but I look at the heart."
I also want the women to be modest and sensible about their clothes and to dress properly; not with fancy hair styles or with gold ornaments or pearls or expensive dresses, but with good deeds, as is proper for women who claim to be religious.
You created every part of me;
you put me together in my mother’s womb.
I praise you because you are to be feared;
all you do is strange and wonderful.
I know it with all my heart.
How beautiful you are, my love;
how perfect you are!
So God created human beings, making them to be like himself. He created them male and female,
God has made us what we are, and in our union with Christ Jesus he has created us for a life of good deeds, which he has already prepared for us to do.
Arise, Jerusalem, and shine like the sun;
The glory of the Lord is shining on you!
Yes, grass withers and flowers fade,
but the word of our God endures forever."
For this reason we never become discouraged. Even though our physical being is gradually decaying, yet our spiritual being is renewed day after day.
"This is why I tell you: do not be worried about the food and drink you need in order to stay alive, or about clothes for your body. After all, isn’t life worth more than food? And isn’t the body worth more than clothes?
