Bem
Fazer o bem é mandamento de Deus e expressão prática do amor cristão. A Bíblia convida a praticar o bem a todos, com alegria, sem se cansar — porque colheremos no tempo próprio.
14 Keep your tongue from evil, and your lips from speaking deceit.
3 For they will soon fade like the grass, and wither like the green herb.
13 Give me not up to the will of my adversaries; for false witnesses have risen against me, and they breathe out violence.
6 Lead me in thy truth, and teach me, for thou art the God of my salvation; for thee I wait all the day long.7 Be mindful of thy mercy, O LORD, and of thy steadfast love, for they have been from of old.
17 Thou openest thy hand, thou satisfiest the desire of every living thing.
9 Then you will understand righteousness and justice and equity, every good path;
22 What is desired in a man is loyalty, and a poor man is better than a liar.
22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness,23 gentleness, self-control; against such there is no law.
10 So then, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all men, and especially to those who are of the household of faith.
29 Let no evil talk come out of your mouths, but only such as is good for edifying, as fits the occasion, that it may impart grace to those who hear.
32 and be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgave you.
9 Let love be genuine; hate what is evil, hold fast to what is good;
21 Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.
23 "All things are lawful," but not all things are helpful. "All things are lawful," but not all things build up.
33 Do not be deceived: "Bad company ruins good morals."
8 And God is able to provide you with every blessing in abundance, so that you may always have enough of everything and may provide in abundance for every good work.
9 also that women should adorn themselves modestly and sensibly in seemly apparel, not with braided hair or gold or pearls or costly attire10 but by good deeds, as befits women who profess religion.
14 who gave himself for us to redeem us from all iniquity and to purify for himself a people of his own who are zealous for good deeds.
5 For this very reason make every effort to supplement your faith with virtue, and virtue with knowledge,6 and knowledge with self-control, and self-control with steadfastness, and steadfastness with godliness,7 and godliness with brotherly affection, and brotherly affection with love.
13 Now who is there to harm you if you are zealous for what is right?
16 Thus says the LORD: "Stand by the roads, and look, and ask for the ancient paths, where the good way is; and walk in it, and find rest for your souls. But they said, We will not walk in it.'
7 The LORD is good, a stronghold in the day of trouble; he knows those who take refuge in him.
15 Nor do men light a lamp and put it under a bushel, but on a stand, and it gives light to all in the house.16 Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven.
36 Be merciful, even as your Father is merciful.
