Every Writing [is] God-breathed, and profitable for teaching, for conviction, for correction, for instruction that [is] in righteousness, that the man of God may be fitted—having been completed for every good work.

and because you have known the Holy Writings from infancy, which are able to make you wise—to salvation, through faith that [is] in Christ Jesus. Every Writing [is] God-breathed, and profitable for teaching, for conviction, for correction, for instruction that [is] in righteousness, that the man of God may be fitted—having been completed for every good work.

knowing this first, that no prophecy of the Writing comes of private exposition, for prophecy never came by [the] will of man, but men spoke from God, being brought by the Holy Spirit.

be diligent to present yourself approved to God—a workman not ashamed, straightly cutting the word of truth;

preach the word; be earnest in season, out of season; convict, rebuke, exhort, in all long-suffering and teaching,

until I come, give heed to the reading, to the exhortation, to the teaching;

Poder da Palavra

A Palavra de Deus é viva e eficaz. O céu e a terra passarão, mas as minhas palavras jamais passarão.

for the Word of God is living, and working, and sharper—beyond every two-edged sword—and piercing as far as [the] division of soul and spirit, of joints and also marrows, and a discerner of thoughts and intents of the heart;

The heaven and the earth will pass away, but My words will not pass away.

But He answering said, "It has been written: Man does not live on bread alone, but on every word coming forth from the mouth of God."

For as the shower comes down, || And the snow from the heavens, || And does not return there, || But has watered the earth, || And has caused it to yield, and to spring up, || And has given seed to the sower, and bread to the eater, So is My word that goes out of My mouth, || It does not return to Me empty, || But has done that which I desired, || And prosperously effected that [for] which I sent it.

sanctify them in Your truth, Your word is truth;

You search the Writings, because you think in them to have continuous life, and these are they that are testifying concerning Me;

but the saying of the LORD remains—throughout the age; and this is the saying of good news that was proclaimed to you.

[BETH] With what does a young man purify his path? To observe—according to Your word.

The sum of Your word [is] truth, || And every judgment of Your righteousness [is] for all time!

Estudar e pregar

Os bereanos examinavam as Escrituras diariamente. Procura apresentar-te a Deus aprovado como obreiro que maneja bem a Palavra.

and these were more noble than those in Thessalonica; they received the word with all readiness of mind, examining the Writings every day [to see] whether those things were so;

and according to the custom of Paul, he went in to them, and for three Sabbaths he was reasoning with them from the Writings, opening and alleging that it was necessary [for] the Christ to suffer, and to rise again out of the dead, and that "this is the Christ—Jesus whom I proclaim to you."

and Philip having run near, heard him reading the prophet Isaiah and said, "Do you then know what you read?" And he said, "Why, how am I able, if someone may not guide me?" He called Philip also, having come up, to sit with him. And the passage of the Writing that he was reading was this: "He was led as a sheep to slaughter, || And as a lamb before his shearer is silent, || So He does not open His mouth;

And Philip having opened his mouth, and having begun from this Writing, proclaimed good news to him—Jesus.

for Ezra has prepared his heart to seek the Law of YHWH, and to do, and to teach in Israel statute and judgment.

And He said to them, "O inconsiderate and slow in heart to believe on all that the prophets spoke! Was it not necessary [for] the Christ to suffer these things, and to enter into His glory?" And having begun from Moses, and from all the Prophets, He was expounding to them in all the Writings the things about Himself.

And having come near, Jesus spoke to them, saying, "All authority in Heaven and on earth was given to Me; having gone, then, disciple all the nations, immersing them into the Name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all, whatever I commanded you, and behold, I am with you all the days—until the full end of the age."

And going on, proclaim, saying that the kingdom of the heavens has come near;

Revelação e fidelidade

A Palavra do Senhor veio aos profetas. A graça de Deus se manifestou na Escritura para a salvação de todos.

and the word of YHWH is to him, saying,

A word of YHWH that has been to Joel, son of Pethuel:

And there is a word of YHWH to Jeremiah, saying,

The burden of a word of YHWH to Israel by the hand of Malachi:

And there is a word of YHWH to Zechariah, saying,

And a word of YHWH is to Isaiah, saying,

"[The] Spirit of Lord YHWH [is] on Me, || Because YHWH anointed Me || To proclaim tidings to the humble, || He sent Me to bind the broken of heart, || To proclaim liberty to the captives, || And an opening of bands to [those] bound. To proclaim the year of the favor of YHWH, || And the day of vengeance of our God, || To comfort all mourners. To appoint to mourners in Zion, || To give to them beauty instead of ashes, || The oil of joy instead of mourning, || A covering of praise for a faded spirit, || And He is calling to them, Trees of righteousness, || The planting of YHWH—to be beautified."

Viver pela Palavra

Não só de pão vive o homem. Nada acrescentes nem diminuas. A Palavra é alimento, guia e espada do cristão.

Every saying of God [is] tried, || He [is] a shield to those trusting in Him. Do not add to His words, lest He reason with you, || And you have been found false.

For I testify to everyone hearing the words of the prophecy of this scroll, if anyone may add to these, God will add to him the plagues that have been written in this scroll, and if anyone may take away from the words of the scroll of this prophecy, God will take away his part from the Scroll of Life, and out of the holy city, and the things that have been written in this scroll."

I wonder that you are so quickly removed from Him who called you in the grace of Christ to another good news— not that there is another, except there are certain who are troubling you, and wishing to pervert the good news of the Christ; but even if we or a messenger out of Heaven may proclaim good news to you different from what we proclaimed to you—let him be accursed! As we have said before, and now say again: if anyone may proclaim to you good news different from what you received—let him be accursed!

and count the long-suffering of our Lord [as] salvation, according as also our beloved brother Paul—according to the wisdom given to him—wrote to you, as also in all the letters, speaking in them concerning these things, among which are some things [that are] hard to be understood, which the untaught and unstable twist, as also the other Writings, to their own destruction.

for as many things as were written before, for our instruction were written before, that through the endurance, and the exhortation of the Writings, we might have the hope.

How then will they call on [Him] in whom they did not believe? And how will they believe [on Him] of whom they did not hear? And how will they hear apart from one preaching? And how will they preach, if they may not be sent? According as it has been written: "How beautiful the feet of those proclaiming good tidings of peace, of those proclaiming good tidings of the good things!" But they were not all obedient to the good tidings, for Isaiah says, "LORD, who gave credence to our report?" So then faith [is] by a report, and the report through a saying of God,

for I am not ashamed of the good news of the Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation to everyone who is believing, both to Jew first, and to Greek. For the righteousness of God in it is revealed from faith to faith, according as it has been written: "And the righteous one will live by faith,"

And we did not receive the spirit of the world, but the Spirit that [is] of God, that we may know the things conferred by God on us, which things we also speak, not in words taught by human wisdom, but in those taught by the Holy Spirit, comparing spiritual things with spiritual things, and the natural man does not receive the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him, and he is not able to know [them], because they are discerned spiritually;

For seeing in the wisdom of God the world through the wisdom did not know God, it pleased God through the foolishness of the preaching to save those believing.

Since also Jews ask a sign, and Greeks seek wisdom, also we preach Christ crucified, to Jews, indeed, a stumbling-block, and to Greeks foolishness, and to those called—both Jews and Greeks—Christ the power of God, and the wisdom of God,

For Christ did not send me to immerse, but to proclaim good news, not in wisdom of discourse, that the Cross of the Christ may not be made of no effect;

But you [are] a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people acquired, that you may show forth the excellencies of Him who called you out of darkness into His wonderful light,
