33 I've told you all this so that you may have peace because you are one with me.* You will suffer in this world, but be brave—I have defeated the world!"

9 Don't forget what I told you: Be strong! Be brave! Don't be afraid! Don't get discouraged! For the Lord your God is with you wherever you go."

25 Joshua said to them, "Don't ever be afraid or discouraged! Be strong and be brave! For the Lord is going to do the same thing to all your enemies that you're going to fight!"

10 Don't be afraid, for I am with you! Don't be frightened for I, your God, will make you strong, and I will certainly help you. I will support you with my strong hand, acting for what is right.

7 God didn't give us a spirit that makes us fearful, but a spirit of power and love and good sense.

13 I can do anything through him who makes me strong!

24 Be strong and be confident,* all you who put your hope in the Lord.

3 On the day I cried out to you for help, you answered me. You encouraged me and made me strong.

7 "Be strong and be brave! Don't be afraid or discouraged because of the king of Assyria with his large army, for there are more with us than with him.

10 If you give up in times of trouble, it shows how weak you are.

25 So men, have courage! I trust God, and I'm convinced things will happen just as I was told.

6 I'm absolutely sure that God who began this good work in you will continue working and bring it to a successful conclusion when Jesus Christ returns.

6 So be glad about this, even though you may be sad for a short while as you endure various trials.

39 The Lord saves those who live right; he is their protection in times of trouble.

11 I really want to visit you and share with you a spiritual blessing to strengthen you. 12 In this way we can be encouraged together by each others' trust in God, both your trust and mine.

16 So we don't give up. Even though our physical bodies are falling apart, our inner selves are being renewed daily.

11 So encourage and strengthen one another, just as you are doing.

7 This news really encouraged us while we were suffering troubles ourselves, brothers and sisters, knowing that you continue to hold on to your trust in God.

16 The people responded, "We are never going to give up on the Lord and worship other gods! 17 For the Lord our God brought us and our forefathers out of slavery in Egypt. He was the one who did great miracles before our very eyes. He looked after us on the way as we traveled through the lands of many nations.

11 I know what I intend to do for you, declares the Lord. I plan good things for you and not bad. I'm going to give you a future and a hope.
