33 I have said these things to you so that in me you may have peace. In the world you have affliction, but have courage! I have conquered the world."

9 Did I not command you? Be strong and courageous! Do not fear or be dismayed, for Yahweh your God is with you wherever you go."*

25 And Joshua said to them, "Do not be afraid or dismayed! Be strong and bold, for thus Yahweh will do to all your enemies whom you are about to fight.

10 You must not fear, for I am with you;

you must not be afraid, for I am your God.

I will strengthen you, indeed I will help you,

indeed I will take hold of you with the right hand of my salvation.

7 For God has not given us a spirit of cowardice, but of power and love and self-discipline.

13 I am able to do all things by the one who strengthens me.

24 Be strong and let your* heart show strength,

all you who wait for Yahweh.

3 When* I called and you answered me,

you emboldened me in my soul with strength.

A Declaration of Trust

1 Yahweh is my light and my salvation;

whom shall I fear?

Yahweh is the refuge of my life;

of whom shall I be afraid?

27 But immediately Jesus spoke to them, saying, "Have courage, I am he! Do not be afraid!"

50 For they all saw him and were terrified. But immediately he spoke with them and said to them, "Have courage, I am he! Do not be afraid!"

48 And he said to her, "Daughter, your faith has saved you. Go in peace."

6 Therefore, although we are* always confident and know that while we* are at home in the body we are absent from the Lord—

10 And on the twenty-third day of the seventh month he sent the people away to their tents rejoicing and festive of heart on account of the goodness that Yahweh had done for David, Solomon, and Israel his people.

7 "Be strong! Be courageous! Do not fear and do not be dismayed before the king of Assyria and before all the crowd that is with him, for there are more with us than with him.

10 If you faint on the day of adversity,

little is your strength.

25 Therefore keep up your courage, men, for I believe God that it will be like this—according to the* way it was told to me.

6 convinced of this same thing, that the one who began a good work in you will finish it* until the day of Christ Jesus,

6 in which you rejoice greatly, although* now for a short time, if necessary,* you are distressed by various trials,

39 And* the salvation of the righteous is from Yahweh,

their refuge in the time of trouble.

11 For I desire to see you, in order that I may impart some spiritual gift to you, in order to strengthen you, 12 that is, to be encouraged together with you through our mutual faith*, both yours and mine.

16 Therefore we do not lose heart, but even if our outer person is being destroyed, yet our inner person is being renewed day after day.

11 Therefore encourage one another and build up each other*, just as indeed you are doing.

7 because of this, brothers, we have been comforted because of you in all our distress and affliction through your faith,

16 And the people answered and said, "Far be it from us that we would forsake Yahweh to serve other gods, 17 for Yahweh our God brought us and our ancestors* from the land of Egypt, from the house of slavery, and did these great signs before our eyes. He protected us along the entire way that we went, and among all the peoples through whose midst we passed.

11 For I know the plans that I am planning concerning you,’ declares* Yahweh, ‘plans for prosperity and not for harm, to give to you a future and a hope.
